So thankful for a day of rest thanks to be incredibly supportive husband. 💕💕 hopefully I’ll be back to 100% tomorrow, but grateful today for Lark Rise to Candleford, this gorgeous @twistedowlfiberstudio yarn and my husband that has managed all the things- kids, grocery shopping, meals and homework.
This is me at work, fighting a cold after recovering from bronchitis. Getting sick twice in 3 weeks while you are training for a super-ambitious life goal against declining odds is disheartening. But it’s important to learn how to push forward, how to stop to care for yourself, and how to distinguish between the two.
I spent all weekend in bed, and might do the same on Monday. I feel a lot better, but I need to channel my motivation to restrain myself from jumping back in too soon. It’s not productive to stay in a run-down state.
I see so many posts encouraging people to fight through pain. Yes, there are plenty of times when that’s important to be able to do. But when you’re sick/burnt out, realize that rest is useful too :)
Btw...I may be posting some more fitness-y things because it’s a big part of my life right now. Thoughts?
