This is what practice looks like. 💜Sometimes it’s not pretty, at first you will fail, but overtime you will succeed. I’m not there yet, but I am most certainly closer than I was before 🤩. I’ve gotten comfortable practicing without a wall, although I will still go back to the wall to work on my Core. I am even practicing a normal handstand and that is improving as well! ✨ .

I usually neglect shoulders during my workouts so I wanted to do a whole workout dedicated to it this week and I really enjoyed focusing on them and trying new exercises! I did 4 sets of 10-12 reps for each exercise with a challenging weight 💪

Real life...I cried a lot on my two days off. So much that I’m pretty sure that’s what caused my eye infection. That being said, I used an extra day off to not infect others, and to workout...twice. I crushed the gym, today. I did some PRs and also managed to do some cardio. But seriously, pass the eye drops, please. It hurts to blink. I also scrubbed the heck out of every bar and weight I touched. I did not spread my plague.

You can simply just hold this pose or you can pump your arm and leg simultaneously up and down to intensify the exercise.

SHOULDER PAIN// 💪

Our jobs can take quite a toll on our bodies. Sometimes we are required to move our bodies in repetitive ways that aren’t natural movements. From hairdressers and makeup artists holding their arms up to work on the face and head, to tradesmen using heavy tools sometimes in awkward angles, to office staff sitting at computers desks that are too high or too low, twisting their necks to look at monitors- how often do you find that your shoulders are sore? 
The answer is- far too often! No wonder so many patients come to The Acupuncture Room presenting with shoulder injuries!
