The thing I love most about travelling is the exposure it accords you.
So I'm in WaleWale, Northern Ghana and I see this photogenic girl and obviously she catches my attention. I see the tear drop marks on her face and automatically assume that those are birth marks, right? Wrong!
Those tear drop markings on both sides of her cheeks are tribal marks from the Dagomba tribe. These marks are done using blades/knives to infants and that is how you can differentiate the Dagomba from any other tribe.
