Le originali Schneeballen di Rothenburg sono palle di pasta frolla fritta che ha oltre 300 anni.
Per realizzare questi dolci vengono tagliate delle strisce di impasto di circa 2 cm, intrecciate, fritte e infine spolverate di zucchero e cannella o con zucchero a velo. Ne esistono anche delle varianti golosissime ripiene di marzapane o torrone o ricoperte di cioccolato, mandorle o caramello, solo per dirne qualcuna!

The original Schneeballen from Rothenburg are balls of fried pastry that is over 300 years old.
To make these desserts, strips of dough of about 2 cm are cut, braided, fried and finally sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon or with powdered sugar. There are also delicious variations filled with marzipan or nougat or covered with chocolate, almonds or caramel, just to name a few!

Testing my impressed rolling pin! I made a new chocolate shortbread recipe. Since I was on parchment I couldn’t roll the pin without moving the whole parchment paper. Letting them set in the fridge overnight and then baking them tomorrow!
I enjoyed tea with my favorite sweets. I’ve liked these sweets since I was a high school student. The views of three cities of the world are painted on the tea bowl. But l don’t know 銘 the poetic name of this tea bowl because it had no box when I was given. I often use it when I eat cookies or cakes.
I make these iced “christmas” cookies at least 2-3 times every holiday season. They’re a soft, buttery shortbread dough with an almond icing + crunchy sprinkles. I usually do fun cookie cutter shapes, but circles are perfectly acceptable imo. Any way you slice them...they’re so simple. SO addictive. ♥️♥️♥️
