Wow. Happy 25th anniversary to easily the most incredible people in the world. Over 300 Grateful Dead shows later, and thousands of other concerts and festivals, you’re still out there together, doing what you love. I snapped these of you while you were lost in the moment of our last Dead show together. You have countless precious moments like these that not many people get to share, and it’s not only beautiful, it’s inspiring. You’ve painted a masterpiece of what two incredible people who share amazing experiences can accomplish together.
Because of you, music and live music has been the reason I am alive. I can almost remember Jimmy Cliff blaring on the stereo as 3-year-old Noah tried to dance to the groove. You took me to my first concert – Green Day – when I was 8, gave me guitar lessons when I was 10 and DJ lessons when I was 12, supported me as I began to pursue a career in live music at 13, and in the next month I’ll be graduating from one of the most prestigious music business programs in the country. Words cannot describe how supportive you’ve been and how much I appreciate every word of encouragement and investment in me you’ve made along the way.
I am so proud to my parents, extraordinarily proud to be your son. Happy anniversary. I love you mom & dad
