Alcohol has calories just like all food. And as you know, too many calories = fat.
And no, just because they are liquid calories doesn’t make them any better for you. Nice try, you sneaky fuck.
Every drink you have is probably somewhere in the range of 80-160 calories EACH. So, as you can imagine, the calories add up fast.
If you know you’re going to be at a party, or you just like enjoying a few glasses of wine every saturday night, you can use the borrowing calories method to make room for some extra fun.
As I’ve mentioned before, your weekly calories matter more than your daily calories. So eat a little bit less calories for a day or two before and after the party to have a bigger calorie budget to spend the day of.
With all that being said, it’s not usually the alcohol that ruins people's progress the most.
It’s all the burgers, pizza, chips and ice cream you eat at 3 am when you’re too blacked out to know the difference between a dick and a sausage.
If you’re drinking, stay away from the food.
Same goes for the next day.
You were the idiot that drank so much the night before that your stomach now feels like a rumbling volcano and your mouth's as dry as the Sahara desert.
Stuffing your face with hangover food is only going to ruin your progress even more.
