Let's talk about Papillomas (viral warts). I'd never seen one of these things in my life until 8 days ago. See, most people don't even realize their young dog has one/them.. They're generally pretty harmless, and most people don't check their young dog's mouth regularly. I check Bailey's mouth DAILY, because she is teething and I like to make sure everything is in order. These warts are highly contagious, often found on young dogs who frequent dog parks, daycare, share water dishes, etc. I highly suspect she got this from a dog I brought over for a playdate.
Now, if you ever see these please keep your puppy away from other dogs. Yeah, they're usually harmless but I was angry to see this on my girl. I'm a paranoid wreck about spreading germs, so I've practically quarantined her at this point. 😓 (On a side note, it has been EIGHT days since discovered. She has not received anything to get rid of it, and yet now it is nearly gone! I'm shocked at the fact it has shrunk so much in just 8 days. Most puppies have them for 2-3 months, so this is amazing progress.)
