Princess’s should be bold, brave, fearless, independent and kind. I am no damsel in distress. Tried to make a new friend last night, but Mum and dad scared it away with all their screaming “Audi get over here, get back inside” and “Audi, come”.... their version of the story says I was lucky my “friend” didn’t want to fight... oh well I got bonus treats when I let dad catch me to bring me in! 😬🐻
Three years ago today I experienced a pain so deep that I thought it would never go away. I had been searching for my sweet Molly late into the night, and when dawn broke I headed out once again. There was a heavy frost, and the air was full of sparks as the ice caught the sun rise. I was calling and calling her in the hopes that she was still out there, was listening for my voice. All along she was right there, right at the end of the driveway....right where she landed when she was struck by a hit and run driver. I had passed her so many times in my search, never thinking she could be right there, the ditch and brambles obscuring her little form. Did she hear my frantic calls the night before, did she know my heart was breaking into a million pieces as I walked, ran, drove all over looking for her? I don't think I'll ever be able to reconcile with the fact that I won't know....that I won't know if it was quick and painless or long and slow. The fact is that she was gone, her sweet, gentle golden heart had stopped beating...and mine flew into a million pieces. Why do we love our dogs so much? Why do they take such a piece of our hearts when they go? It's because they are made of pure love, loyalty and kindness. A 'bad' dog doesn't exist....a 'bad' dog has only a human to blame....all dogs are born good and want to be good. And Molly was the best. She will forever be my heart dog and I will forever miss her. ❤️
It was a very boring weekend for the doggies, with only morning walks before work (in the dark) and even walks after work (in the dark). Here’s a couple photos of fun times last week boating on Ahmic Lake and seeing all the amazing colours...and a promise to the doggies for fun hikes this week!
Audi in her glory 💕 we have a box of antlers by the door for a few months now... amazed that Audi has not pulled a “Winona” and helped herself, but yet takes the shoes next to it 🙄#winonaryder#kleptodog#antlers
For all our fellow Canadians, we hope you enjoyed your holiday Monday (if you got the day off that is)! We took a nice long walk along the trail when the rain finally let up and it was as spectacular as you can imagine. The colours right now...unreal. Love this time of year!
Adoptable Addison knows "sit" "stay" "lay down" and "shake"! She is crate trained but doesn't need it now that she's housebroken. She's a major lover that stays off the furniture, and walks well on a leash! She loves to play with her toys and with other dogs! Addie is "move-in ready" with lots of energy and love to give to a new family! If you want to adopt this black beauty, read all about her at RescueOutreach.com !
