This week has been tough AF. I found that once I start squatting heavy for reps, my left hip flares up again 😓 it was doing really well after I completed my lower body program back in March and up until about a week ago. So now I know I need to take even more time to rehab it by growing (I've been maintaining) and strengthening that leg. Which means a much longer hypertrophy cycle that I would start asap... but the fact that I have a meet in like 6 weeks is stressing me tf out 😭
I'm trying to stay positive but I couldn't hit the numbers that I wanted during this max week and had lil crying fits in the gym after squats on Tuesday. Deadlift singles felt heavier than they should yesterday, but my mind was also all over the place. I only PR'd in one lift, bench by 5lb (160lb) but as you can see I still wasn't happy. Ugghh, I'm gonna do what I can in this next meet and just try to have fun. But still this sucks 😧
My friend captured this lil GEM as we were leaving the gym.... and I could lie and tell you that it was a rare moment...but it's not... I'm pretty much always pulling some sort of shenanigans when I get on my PINK BUDDY! It just brings out the little kid in me! 👧🏼🌸🌈🎀💗💞 I bought my pink scooter after I spent a semester abroad studying international business in Thailand!! It was the BEST time in my life at that point and I came home KNOWING I needed to bring the woman I was there .... HOME to the US
Up until that point, I had always lived inside the lines, listening to what others told me to be, doing what other told me to do, and never truly stepping outside of my box 📦
Then somewhere between the full moon festival, the week long water celebrations, the hot young love I found over there, the incredible classes, the most free and friendly people ever, and the adventures and memories that could fulfill me for a lifetime... I FOUND MY VOICE and I FOUND MYSELF!
I came home a changed person and I knew from that moment on... the only voice I would ever listen to was my own... pushing me every morning to be BETTER, To challenge the STATUS QUO, to chase my dreams, and to only surround myself with the people who brought that out in me and the people who were headed in the same direction!
And while it's been a few years since that adventure, that woman still comes out every single morning when my feet hit the floor at 4:00am .... I tell myself, it's time to keep building the DREAM.... one life at a time... one day at a time... one amazing opportunity at a time! .... and anytime I need a reminder or refresher of my goal or my purpose or I need to find that girl again, I just hop on my BUDDY and go for a joy ride and I don't slow down until SHE'S BACK!!!
Soooo.... progress is progress... My struggle area "them thighs baby" but I can tell I am fitting in these shorts differently like I have room!!😁... ¤
So the pic in the middle I was not lifting as heavy as I currently am. So pretty much weight loss not building any muscle😭😭¤
Now well, currently, I feel stronger, my endurance is increasing my objective is lean out while building muscle... I slipped it on, (about the 205th dress I tried one over the last couple months!) and I NEVER wanted to take it off!
I was DONE SHOPPING! I had FINALLY FOUND PERFECTION in a dress! Lol 😂
To have my mom with me at that moment was beyond words... exactly everything I had ever imagined and I’m so glad we got to share that moment together! 🙏
I have come to realize dress shopping is just like finding the the man of your dreams!! — Most don’t fit! — Many make you look horrible! — Most aren’t worth the costs! ... and you have to test our quite a few to find out what you really want!!! 😘 ... and then the right ONE comes along.... And.... — They bring out a side of you you absolutely love! — They compliment every part of who you are!
— They make you feel like the most gorgeous woman on earth! — They are worth every tear, every penny, every everything.... !!! ... Found the guy... and found the dress... I’m READY! Let’s do this thing!!! 💃💃💃
