I can’t be the only one who thinks audience members should get a candy bar that may have a Golden Ticket! On second thought, the sound of wrappers during a live performance makes my skin crawl! #charlieandthechocolatefactory#sheasbuffalo
This musical was a special one for us to go tonight. When my dad used to be a teacher in Lockport, he turned Roald Dahl’s book of “Charlie & the Chocolate Factory” into a play for his 6th graders to perform. It was a success, so he asked Roald Dahl for the rights to it. He loved it, so in 1975, it was officially published, and adapted into a play by my dad, Richard George. He then went on to do Dahl’s “Charlie & the Great Glass Elevator” & “James & the Giant Peach” as well.
While the musical is definitely VERY different than the book & play, it was well done & enjoyable to see together as a family. (Not pictured: Me & Jodi who were there but taking most of the pictures.☺️)
