I knocked on the door with my glove-covered hand and waited in the cold December air for my boyfriend to open the door. It was Christmas Eve, and after almost a year of being together, we decided that I would celebrate it together with his family.
After some seconds the door opened and Shawn, looking as handsome as ever, stood in front of me with a huge smile on his face. "Y/N! I'm so happy you're here!" He pulled me in a hug, earning a giggle from my throat. "I'm happy to see you too, hun." I laughed and pressed my cold cheek against his strong chest. "Come on in. Mum, dad and Aaliyah are waiting in the living room." He opened the door wider so I could walk in. "It's smells so nice. I love to be here when it's cold outside." I smiled and gave him my jacket so he could put it away. He sent me a smile and intertwined our hands after I took my gloves off and put them in the pockets of my jacket.
We walked into the living room together and as soon as his parents saw me they both flew up and greeted me warmly. "Oh Y/N! It's so nice that you're here with us tonight!" Karen exclaimed as she wrapped me in a hug. "Thank you for letting me stay. I really appreciate it." I smiled thankfully and gave Manny a hug as well. They knew my situation at home isn't great, so since day one they have been nice to me. I could always stay over if I wanted and they never ever let me go home if I knew it wasn't safe.
Last one to greet was Aaliyah, Shawns thirteen years old sister. "Hey girl." I smiled as I rubbed her back. "Hey Y/N. I'm happy to see you." She squealed. "Who wants to drink something?" Karen asked us and everyone nodded, sitting down on the comfy couch. She disappeared in the kitchen. 💧More In Comments💧
