Western buildings at the Bund. Many foreign capitals came here and built these 100 years ago.
Back in the 1970s-1980s when the surrounding areas (like my hometown Suzhou) weren’t as developed as Shanghai was, my grandparents and parents would have to go to Shanghai to buy any Western-style “fancy things” such as croissants, margarine cakes, pastries and even well-built watches and clothes.
But now, as the world gets closer and closer, we can surely buy these common goods anywhere #shanghai#上海#thebund#thebundshanghai#city#cities#cityofshanghai#china#downtownshaghai#シャンハイ#skyline#skyscrapers
Here is one of places which my favorite in Shanghai. More quieter and cleaner than other famous places. You can relax to drink a beer, listen music and chat with your friends. And most of important thing is that you don’t have to worry about being cheated money from strangers. (Actually I truly was cheated by illegal taxi driver when I just arrived Shanghai airport)
