Today’s brew is from one of our favourite restaurants at West Byfleet - Kayal. That they serve some fantastic coastal from the Indian state of Kerala was known to us. The hidden gem turned out to be this Cochin coffee - we were told that this coffee is made from monsooning the sun dried coffee beans by exposing them to monsoon winds that carry a lot of moisture thereby causing the beans to swell up too. Apparently this coffee is unique to coast of Kerala and some parts of Karnataka. While we aren’t sure of the rigor that the beans went through, the coffee itself was very good - a bit chocolatey and strong, it was served in a generous glass. We definitely needed sugar to go with this one - so you can expect the frenzy that may have ensued.

Someone asked me why I talk about relationships a lot on my IG.
Thing is, relationships are important.
I also have a lot of single friends who share their battle stories in the dating realm.
But I do see a lot of similarities and patterns in their stories, often linked to miscommunication, misinterpretation and mismatch in expectations.
So I write about them, in the hopes that it would help people navigate better.
The two scenarios I listed are both true.
Regrann from @tinajamieloh - [Giveaway on FB] Tried out the acne patches from DermaAngel (formerly called Miacare) recently and I really loved it. I was surprised by how thin and translucent it was as compared to the other acne patches that I have tried. It also adheres really well to the skin. The acne patch is made of hydrocolloid dressing which enhances pus absorbance and healing. You can just paste it over your pimple and let it perform the magic! 🙌
I also tried out DermaAngel's Mild Purifying Cleansing Cream which leaves my skin clean and refreshed but not dry at all. It smells pretty good too! 😍
Swipe to see more photos and how the acne patch compares with another popular brand in the market.
Good news! DermaAngel is giving away samples of the acne patches to the first 50 followers. All you need to do is: (1) Like my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/followmywanders) and DermaAngel's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/miacareacnepatchsg)

While at Waters Edge, we also tried their macchiato and this was quite different from the macchiatos we have earlier had. It had a good proportion of chocolate in it making it a cross between a cappuccino and a mocha. It caught us by surprise this one but we enjoyed it nonetheless. It is served in a tall glass and is a pretty generous portion though if you are looking for a good dose of caffeine, this may not quite do it.
But hey, when you can get lost in the vast expanse around you on a breezy and cool Sunday, you don’t need exactly need huge amounts of caffeine to feel alive, do you?

The weekend’s almost over,
Of this we can’t pretend;
I still find it quite awkward,
To 90 degree bend.
If you’re an active person,
And running is quite your thing;
Better stretch those hammies☝🏼,
Or else say bye bye hamstring 😌

Waters Edge is one of the most beautiful cafes we have been to. Set bang in the middle of a farm at Horsell Common, the cafe itself is a treat. Plus, they serve some really good coffee. We tried their cappucino with chocolate powder dusted on top and quite loved it. We wish the coffee was a tad stronger but hey, we aren’t complaining. The farm itself is nothing short of a dog’s and a child’s delight and it was beautiful to begin the day amidst their laughter.
