$12 Prawn Noodles from the Noo Cheng Adam Road Big Prawn Noodle (branch) stall at Zion Riverside Food Centre. Juicy prawns that were freshly cooked when we placed our order (not precooked and stuck in the display) and served with loads of lard and crackling (cooked a tad hard because they were meant to soak in the soup and still remain crunchy) - swipe to see the last pic. 
The broth was a light, sweet, clear version which will not be favoured by those wanting a strong robust ‘prawny’ soup. I do prefer a heartier soup but the broth was still tasty and went well with the lard. Perhaps a heavier soup would’ve made the combination too jelak. The dish also came with a tasty though small piece of pork rib. Soft and flavoursome, I wished there was more. Prices start at $5 and go up to $25 for supersized prawns. 
Served with optional dried chilli powder and chilli padi with soy sauce.  Score: B+. Think I’ll try the dry version next time... . . .

Ramen Gallery Takumen Wabisuke Ramen that have won Michelin Hokkaido Bib Gourmand! It has an interesting taste as compared to normal pork broth ramen but still tasty! It's $16.80++ so while it's not cheap, definitely worth a try!

PS. The mashed potato that they offer as a free side is really nice!

For my second humble #orhluak review, we head down to famous Hokkien restaurant Beng Thin, located on the fifth floor of OCBC Centre. Be prepared to pay the restaurant premium because 蚝煎蛋 comes in $16/28/38 portions. Y’know sometimes you stand in front of an #orhluak store, not sure to order 蚝煎 or 蚝蛋? Beng Thin be like, SAY NO MORE BRUH, here’s some 蚝煎蛋. 🤙🏻

This is a unique take on #orhluak, with fat juicy oysters and large sheets of deep fried egg batter. It is extremely crispy and every bite sounds like crushing A4 paper. You’ll notice that the chilli has already been drizzled on all the oysters. This is something I don’t particularly enjoy. It’s like you go NTUC buy shampoo then they straight away press the shampoo on your head. Yo, let me decide when I wash my hair okay 💁🏻‍♀️. That said however, I’m pretty sure you can request for them not to drizzle the chilli beforehand. A separate chilli dip is also provided. The chilli has a slight manufactured sweetness to it and the punch is not really there. Oysters are very fresh and juicy, perfect for those who like it big. 🌚

All of us never try this restaurant before, hence decided to give it a try. Very nice ambiance, with nice layout and interior design. Overall, food wise is not too bad. I like especially the shrimp salad. Very well blended with cooked shrimps, dressing and mixed veggies with raw onions. The fish for me, was just alright, even though it was fresh. Rate: 3.8/5. But I think there is a part of her who wants to explore more creativity, and challenge herself out of the comfort zone.

I remember Gen taking orders when I dined at this Soya Sauce Chicken eatery at Toa Payoh. The food was good, and I remember the experience a little better, even after so long.

Though “Xiao mei” is now busy with interviews and probably culinary school next, we know now where to get a mean plate of tender, succulent chicken rice. Please also have some of those lup Cheong.

因庆祝闺密的生日,我买了antoinette 的蛋糕,之所以从这家店购买是因为它的蛋糕好吃又比较特别,此店也在新加坡小有名气呢。

蛋糕名为Monotone, 顾名思义,蛋糕的外层是以灰色为主,它里头是巧克力mousse, 水果果冻,巧克力 genoise 等等。

吃了一口过后,巧克力的味道之浓郁,简直让你陷入幸福国度中。因为还有水果果冻的牵制,巧克力的甜度还是可以接受。

At first glance, it’s quite an aesthetically pleasing bowl of Century Egg Lean Pork Congee($5.20) in a coffee shop setting. This new stall near my place sells Fish Soup and Congee and I think it's worth a try even though I waited quite a while.

For me, the attention to details contributes a lot to the success of a dish. The seasoning for the congee was balanced and not too salty and I like the consistency. By adding fried shallots, thin strips of egg slices and peanuts elevates this bowl of warm gooey goodness. The You Tiao is legit.

Will come back again for another bowl of congee.

We are pleased to announce the opening of our online food store!

We decided to embark on this journey to bring authentic homely food that feels and taste like home. As a group of foodie, we came to a realisation of the lack of "warmth" and "homely" feeling in food from takeaways that you always experience from food made with love by your mum in the kitchen.

We came to a conclusion that unfortunately, most food businesses became too "business-oriented" and lost the human touch and feelings brought out from the food cooked.

fish & chipz @ little diner 😻 ok the fries were not crispy at all BUT THE FISH THO the batter was not only damn crispy but super well seasoned and the fish meat also didn’t have the super fishy taste 💯 8.5/10!!

1. Steamed cod 🐟with bell peppers 🌶 , tomatoes 🍅 and garlic cloves. Seasoned with whole umeboshi , mirin and white pepper. The ‘soup’ that collects at the bottom is so sweet and delicious. Refreshingly tangy from the umeboshi and fragrant from the mirin. We could finish bowls of rice 🍚🍚with it 👌🏻👌🏻
2. Juicy Chicken cubes, shiitake & abalone mushrooms 🍄 . Topped with toasted sesame seeds for extra crunch. Another Rice cooker dish! I dressed it with sweet shiro miso, mirin & white pepper. Swipe for close-up pic 😁😁
3. Veggie soup with Chinese spinach, Cai Xim & garlic cloves. No seasoning. Lovely to enjoy the unalterated taste of veggies 😻😻

“1. Broccoli 🥦& Cai Xin soup in kombu dashi broth. I use the instant dashi powder @naturesglorysg , very flavourful with no msg. Just a small amount is needed.
2. Steamed Barrumundi 🐟 with wakame, tomatoes 🍅 . Flavored with cooking wine, white pepper & plum.
3. Cold tofu #冷奴 with bonito flakes and seaweed. I mix shiro miso, mirin and aged shoyu for the dressing. Was surprised to see how  the shoyu has an almost caramely🍯 texture. It lends a distinct umami to the dressing! Also from @naturesglorysg
