📍Yakiniku-oh (Cuppage Plaza)
Favourite place with generous servings and affordable food! (especially when we’re going town area)
This saba fish looks bigger than it seems in the picture and it’s super value for money!!
I felt like I had a whole load of potassium over that dinner.
As for the oyako chicken katsu don comes in a set meal with salad and green tea and the portion is huge?! Serves 2 pax.
Though it might look like a pale looking don, but the overall taste is definitely not compromised.
Ordered two fatty pork skewers and the whole bill costs $29.
WORTH THE MONEY AND TUMMY🤗
Oh yes- they’re actually famous for charcoal bbq and their beef!
Overall food and service: 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻/5
Steamed Gourmet's signature offering of chicken, Chinese sausage, and mushroom. $6.90
Could be I'm losing steam as my time in Singapore draws to an end, but this photo was an afterthought (and missing some food). And my appetite is still MIA.

📍Heng Long Teochew Porridge
Rainy day calls for a porridge day and omg everything here cost $22??!? That’s quite expensive and even if we ordered cai fan, it’s not that expensive either.
Bad choice as the dishes tasted just like normal cai fan.
Hmmmm wonder which is the most expensive dish?🤔
It has been decades since I visited @hardrocksingapore and I fondly remember it being one of my childhood go to places for good Western food.
I am here to try their new Infused with Love menu and ordered this Spirited Slider sample with Crispy Chicken burger, Whisky Bacon Jam burger and Southern BBQ burger. My favorite is definitely the Whisky Bacon Jam with its smoky fragrant barbecued meat. Recommended for meat and burger lovers!
Spirited Slided Sample - $29.95

Dinner at @teavillacafesingapore today. Didn’t feel like snapping photos first because I had similar food the last time I was there, but JD liked the “trolley” the french fries came in and continued shooting with his phone. Very happy with the service at the place and the food is really something. All vegetarian too! #singaporefood#premiumtea

Mont Blanc cakes are a common sight in Singapore, but it's rare to find one that isn't mixed together with rum. The cake was closed to perfection in my opinion, as the chestnut cream provided that robust flavour of chestnuts, without being grainy, while the blueberry compote and the fruit itself inside managed to balance out the sweetness of the cake. With the inclusion of frangipane tart as the base of the cake, it added a crunchy mouthfeel to the overall dessert.
Tourist in my own country -A walk in the Chinatown vicinity.
I find myself intrugued by the surroundings which is supposed to be my own backyard but yet I find it unfamiliar.
It felt so weird and interesting to walk among tourists, trying not to be like them and yet behaving like them, especially when taking photographs of interesting places - same but different.
I chanced upon the newly revamped store front of #tonghengsg , Singapore's famous egg tarts. The place looks welcoming and up to date. It's my first taste of the iconic diamond-shaped egg tart and it is good.
I also bought some super wobbly handmade kueh bingka ubi (tapioca cake) which were generously coated with shredded fresh coconut at Xing Xing Ondeh Ondeh. These kuehs are really delicious! @seeyoonghwee thanks for the recommendations.
When time and weather permits, a self guided walk with the help of Google maps in the heritage district can be interesting and yummy.
Ok so have you guys tried the beef bowls at Gyunion yet? I’ve gone twice within a week to get the Gyu-don (S$7.90), which is their marinated beef slices over rice. The beef is so tasty and tender unfff. I also top it off with a beautifully jiggly onsen eggggg yasss. Mix in that runny egg with the rice and it’s really just a delight with every bite UGH. The egg is usually S$1 but I’ve been getting the lunch combo which includes the egg and a drink for additional S$2!.
My friend got the Gyu-men (S$8.90), which is the soupy noodle version. The broth for the Gyu-men is tasty yet light, it’s really quite simple and honest.
Also special mention for the pared down Japanese aesthetic with their Muji-esque benches lol. It’s super minimalist in there I LOVE IT.
Gyunion is at #01 -23 Sunshine Plaza (great unit number) and are open Mon-Fri 12pm to 930pm, and closed on Sat-Sun.
