I recently had the pleasure of pattern testing this Rainbow Spool block designed by @quietplay. I was able to use a handful of my Alison Glass scraps to piece it together. It's part of the 2019 QP pattern club, a monthly subscription starting in January each member will receive three Quiet Play patterns, it's a great way to learn paper piecing or improve your skills. Head to feed for more details. #quietplaypatterns#qppatternclub#paperpieced#sewwiththebest
In the whole baby shower thing I didn't even show the mom how these work, so here goes: put booster in, gold gold fold, put baby in, put snappi/safety pin on, put cover on, go live your blow out free life!
This is the first style of diapers I made for my babies (mine were not that cute) and I really love how easy they are to use. I was pressed for time, but I'll be making more to give baby O and his parents soon, God willing! The covers have a special trick too, but no pictures because they're in the wash atm lol
I'm getting really good at baby things!!! This is a gift I made a while ago for baby O was born a hot minute ago! A cozy cotton knit night gown (with an open bottom so sleepy parents aren't bothered by snaps), a little beanie and a matching preflat cloth diaper! Along with my favourite fleece cover (fits from birth till whenever, my girls are still wearing theirs at 1!) It was a pleasure making these. I'm cutting more cloth diapers for my girls tonight, I might make them some gowns too, these are too cute!
Impulse sew today. After seeing so many #noratop from @tillybuttons in the past weeks, I wanted to give a go at a cropped, boxed top. I had one in mind from a @burda_style Young & Easy issue, A/W 2017. The model nr 3. I just tapered the sleeves a bit, cause I didn't have enough fabric and I've interfaced one side of the collar to make it stand a bit more. Really happy with it. It was a super quick make too. Took maybe one hour to sew together.

FOR ALL MY FELLOW SNEAKY SNAKE BROS! ✨🖤🐍🖤✨ it’s the NEW NEW NEW @fridaypatterncompany #adrienneblouse (coming soon!) and it’s my favorite pattern Chelsea has ever made (I know, I say that every time)
IN RE: personal mods - I cut a small, added an inch to the length, and that’s it, this top fits perfectly! I had to cut my back on the cross grain in two pieces (shrinkage, man 😁), but this is a super forgiving pattern and everything worked out fab.
PS: I know, I’m deep in an animal print thing rn, but I’m year of the snake and a slytherin and love snakes, so let’s agree to let it ride 🐍😎🐍
Quilting solids stash. Everything 1/4yd and up, loosely arranged by value. .
I’ve been nailing productive procrastination the last few days with some impromptu reorganization projects. .
Still have some work to do to get the other fabrics organized. Sorry computer work, guess you’ll have to wait a bit longer...😛
Making Christmas gift bags using the drawstring bag pattern from @jenib320 The fabrics are all leftovers from previous years and bought at lots of different shops most. All part of sewing more and buying less. #drawstringbag#christmas#sewing#sewmystash2018
I made the tree skirt and had weird wedge-shaped scraps.....
......so I made six string pieced stockings and had even tinier weird-shaped scraps.....
.....so I decoupaged them to clear ornaments and hung them on the tree.
I'm now out of scraps and I'm a little sad.
Sooooo, excuse the wrinkles, but I did not have time to get my iron out this morning and the sunlight is just too nice to not get the chance for a decent picture right away! This is my @tillybuttons #sewingorla that did not make it to the #stitchedwithatwist challenge.... I actually finished and wore it last Sunday, but I was so late for the Confirmation I was going to attend, that I did not have the time for pictures and post. I changed the collar in a simple Peter pan shape and the back closure, I have omitted the zip and left an opening that I closed with a pearl button. I shortened it by a good 5 cm, and it was perfect for wearing it under my #m7547 . I like the look of it. I might cut the hem straight for the normal wear because I think it has too many feminine details that do not go along with my personal style. I love the sleeves, and all the nice curved lines of it, but the hem is too much of a girly look for me. I think I will make another one, collarless, sleeveless but with curved hem. This might be OK!
I love this one! ❣️ I like the fit, I like the weight, I like the texture, really a big win this time! 😀
Another @burda_style pattern, #burda122016 -111, I traced that pattern a while ago but never got round to it because I did not realize it was designed for Knits and I had woven fabric in mind. Ended up dying a textured knit I had sitting in my stash for a while, because I could not make up my mind about what to do with it. I'm so happy I did it. I'm really pleased with the result.
