One dress and so many autumn looks ✨
Hello beautiful autumn and rad leaves!
Одно платье, а как много образов можно создать✨
Дышится легче и даже ножницы как-будто порхают быстрее
So aside from the very minimal sewing/crafting we did for ColEast, we haven’t been doing too much for cosplay progress. We have some cool stuff planned, but I’ve been working on getting some non-cosplay sewing done (I have so much fabric for general crafting and normie clothes sewing it’s ridiculous). We have also been diligently working on setting up the sewing studio. I’m SUPER happy to finally have all my thread on racks; serger cones, embroidery thread, and sewing thread! It makes it really easy to access and less annoying for switching out colors! I still need to get my wall shelves and bulletin board from Ikea though to really get everything as organized as I want!
I might be done with the Sunday Market for the season, but that doesn’t mean the work stops! 😂 In full production mode in the studio today- on the docket is finishing custom orders, and sewing up the last of the swaddle restock and more stroller blankets!
Stunning!! This suit from @mais.kinis was made using the Maxine top and Ranger bottoms PDF sewing patterns ✨ Love sewing your photos!!! Don’t forget to enter the competition and use #kfdiyswim , we’re still going until the end of the month!
Looking so focused in the image above is Pavani, who’s drafting her pattern for A-Line dress #AA_EPMT . Sewing is a skill that she hopes would benefit her in the long run. With her interest & curiosity of how clothes were made she decided to join our class together with her best friend (swipe to see 👭) These 2 have always made the class filled with laughters that the trainer missed!
Right now she’s busy educating children with learning disabilities but she’ll be back for another class, she said! See you again Pavani! ❤️ #StoriesWithAA
Teddy is such a good boy 💖 he’s had some health issues lately but he’s bouncing back and still loves his tummy rubs 😂 this is a photo from when he was helping me decide what to do with this pilea - it’s not listed on Etsy yet, but if anyone would like it, give me a DM 💕🌊
On today’s #TipsFromAA we will share about grain lines(indications with arrows) which determine how Pattern is cut out when it is laid on a piece of fabric.
↔️ Weft - Thread running across Horizontally.
↕️ Warp - Thread running across Vertically. Which is the strongest straight grain that least stretches out of shape.
↕️Straight Grain along Centre Front/Back Pattern is placed Parallel to the Selvedge(along edges of fabric seen on image-white strip).
Happy Saturday everyone!! This week was a productive but exhausting week full of fittings, meetings, sewing, pattern making, teaching, and a studio tour. After a hectic week like this one I like to clean up my workspace so I can work with a clear mind and a "clean slate" - what do you all do to reboot after a busy week for another busy week ahead??
