I SET THE INTENTION TO! In this series, was releasing anything no longer serving the Highest Good. What are your intentions in each Monet? What are you holding on to in your body that needs to be released?
Ever wonder why when youre stressed you get a tummy ache? Or certain parts of your body feel more pain on days that things are going as well? We are amazing humans, because we are simply energy, our bodies hold on to the energy, emotions, traumas, and feelings of all that we experience! There comes a point though, that these need to be released for our healing and well-being.
Join me on Monday in an INTENTIONAL FITNESS workout, or schedule our first one on one session today! Only 20 spots open for Monday’s class to start your week off intentionally!

This photo was taken on 3.31.18 on the El Camino de Luz Sunrise, Wisdom Tree Pilgrimage Hike with @luzwarrior @lettherebeluz This is when @teachitmamas was officially born. On this hike I set an intention to let go of the fears and blockages that we’re not serving me so that I could move forward with this passion project that had been calling me for almost a year. On this hike, I set an intention to build a community for women and mothers to support and learn from each other. I visualized women coming forward and sharing their talents and knowledge with each other. The name, “Teach It Mamas” came to me on this hike because of this visualization. I saw women teaching us and sharing their passions with us. I saw a nonjudgmental group of women leaning on each other and building strong bonds and friendships. “Teach It, Mamas!” was a phrase I pictured saying to the women teaching our group. The same way you say, “you go girl!” It might not make sense to others, but to me, that phrase made all the sense in the world. It came to me with such clarity. I knew then, that would be the name.
The last three weeks, this manifestation became a reality. All those visualizations I had on the hike, happened. In the last three weeks I’ve had women from our motherhood tribe come forward and teach and share their talents and passions with us. It happened at the Mamas in Pajamas Brunch, it happened at the Halloween Play Date and it was so incredible to see this happen at the Body Love Workshop. And actually now that I think of it, it started even earlier when I had my first support group. @teachitmamas has only been up and running for 6 months and all I can say is my heart is filled with so much gratitude. Seeing you women come forward and be leaders, teachers, and inspiration to other women fills me with so much life.
I am so thankful for every single one of you who support me and all the women in this tribe. Thank you for making this dream a reality. And I can’t thank @luzwarrior enough for leading me on that hike that changed everything💫💫💫
I cannot wait to see what’s in store for us. May we continue teaching, learning and growing together ❤️ #teachitmamas#wisdomtree
We've all heard of the starving artist myth. Yes? Whether you are an artist, a musician, a fashion designer, a chef, an architect, a house painter, a seamstress, or a creator of any type, I can guess that you have said or thought about the 'starving artist'. And I bet that thought has held you back, or stopped you from making a big move, or creating a beautiful thing. No one wants to be a starving artist. It’s become a very well known myth that feeds all types of limiting beliefs for Creatives. The upside is there are documented articles everywhere you look with stats confirming the trend of Creatives making more income with their craft now than ever before.
So if the income from creativity is on the rise, why even touch on the Starving Artist Myth? Well....the answer is easy for me. The myth is so much more than income and paying the bills and giving up luxury to follow a creative career. It's bigger than all that. I believe that this looming myth is still wreaking havoc on the minds of my creative people. And I won't stand for that. Not today, not anymore.
THAT is why we started our Thriv Community. Thriv is a community cultivated by Creatives for Creatives, and our mission is to crush all these limiting beliefs, to support each other, and to provide a framework for creative business building success.
YOU AREN’T THE SAME PERSON ON PREP AS YOU ARE IN YOUR IMPROVEMENT SEASON!
THE BIGGEST thing I’ve learned that separates a SUCCESSFUL improvement season from a rebound season is INTENTION. I’ve done 6 shows & about 4 FULL ‘off’ seasons, some of which I fell flat on my face w/, some where I frikkin killed it w/ building, feeling amazing about myself, & being healthy! Here’s the deal, wanting to fit in a box, follow a plan perfectly, & act like you did on prep bc that’s what you know & have been doing for months, JUST DOESN’T MAKE SENSE!
On prep, there’s an end date, we can see our body chiseling & we continuously envision revealing our build, we’re REQUIRED to be 110%, otherwise it isn’t worth it. But, when we’re in our improvement season, we look at things differently & our life goals change. If we act like we do on prep, growth becomes limited. If you’re always restricting yourself, trying to stay as lean as possible, & therefore RARELY increasing your food, decreasing your cardio, lowering your stress levels or chasing other goals, how can you develop the muscle, metabolism, & MINDSET required to rock your next show/ take it to the next level?
For Example, Food; we have it, it’s there for us to enjoy, but then we think, “I can’t have too much bc then I’ll blow up, or I can’t increase my calories bc then I’ll be dying next prep if I gain, or I have to do more cardio bc I ate a little extra today.” We know we want/need to eat more food to grow & build & we crave more freedom. But then we get uncomfortable w/ what’s required for the growth we know we need to improve; Questioning ourselves the moment we don’t look as lean as we did on stage, in peak week or when we see other competitors online only 3lbs up from stage weight, making you think that the 10 pounds you gained means you need to do another cut & ‘start over’ so you can ‘be competitive’.
But, your story, goals, journey, body, needs, & struggles AREN’T THEIRS! That’s why INTENTION IS EVERYTHING, set a new one; WHAT IS MY INTENTION FOR THIS IMPROVEMENT SEASON FOR MY PHYSIQUE, MIND, & PERSONAL LIFE TO FLOURISH WHILE MEETING MY NEW GOALS DURING THIS TIME OF MY LIFE? Tomorrow we discuss, finding YOUR balance🤗
I've had such an art block lately. And even though I stay busy as a stay-at-home mom, it's just not enough to keep the negativity at bay. I'm neurotic, an over-thinker, and over-feeler. My mantra of late: 🔸 🔸🔸
Purpose 🔸🔸 🔸 🔹Strength to overcome the negativity that comes my way, 🔹Clarity to recognize what I need to do, to make my path clear,
🔹Wisdom because I'm, obviously being wise is cool af ;) 🔹Protection from that negativity
🔹Purpose. This one's tricky. Hard to explain without getting into a novel.
How do you bookend your days? Do you start your day with the news? End it with a crazy tv show that stresses you out? I used to do that. I loved criminal minds! But that actually made me sleep bad, dream crazy dreams then I woke to more reality craziness with the news!! Now I start my mornings with gratitude and reflection. I write in my journal and set my intentions for the day. It changed everything for me. Today I’m loving my @growthcoachca yeti mug and cuddling with my @princessivy_thedachshund #lifeisgood#journaling#settingintentions#bookendyourday
Hey there! Boy what a week it's been, I can't tell you how much I wish I could have posted more. Whats ironic is before I inadvertently went dark, I was complaining about how arduous it is to post all the time and how I'm not sure if I've made the right decision by plummeting into social media for the sake of starting my businesses. But this morning I found myself missing it!
Some of this tension stems back to the fact that social media and I have a rocky relationship history, and of course one of my most common tendencies when dealing with internal tension is avoidance. 😳 I gave up FB and IG for a bit a few years ago – I couldn't take the pressure of it all.
And oh baby did I feel pressure after telling the universe I was going to start a blog!! But that’s a topic for another time.
What I learned about myself this week is that, even though I still struggle with the pressure of it all, not all of it gets to me in the same way. Hello growth! However, I do want to set expectations for all of you beautiful souls who've chosen to follow me on this journey 💙💙💙 I'm planning on posting at least twice a week: (1) I'll drop a longer "blog post" on life / love / relationships / etc. on Sundays – which I'm lovingly calling "Sundays with Stephanie" 💁♀️ – and (2) I'll post mid-week on my personal story. You can also catch me in my stories everyday posting inspirational quotes and other things I love, as well as updates on my currently plant-base diet challenge!! Thank you all so much for being here with me, I'm so excited for the things to come and SO grateful I'm able to share it all with you ✨💕💃
This quote is everything. It changed my entire outlook in looking for a partner. Once I believed that there was someone out there who shared in my same vision of what an ideal partner looked like, I no longer felt anxious. Rather, I had to be patient.
There is a person who wants, needs, and values exactly what you do in a relationship. It helps to be clear on what your wants, needs and values are so that you will be able to recognize it in another.
The face you make when you find out there’s going to be guacamole at the party 😆😆
Has anyone realized there are only 2.5 months left of 2018?! 10 more weeks! That’s it. Most of us start each new year off with intentions and resolutions for ourselves and changes we want to make in our lives. The hard part is sticking with those daily choices consistently especially when there’s no instant gratification...now is a good time to reflect back and remember what it was you wanted to accomplish this year. How will you finish off the last 10 weeks of this year? It’s never too late to start whatever it is.💛
🤔Have you had a great idea but the timing to get it started isn't right? Maybe it's something that should happen immediately because the reward is instant and it's a really fun idea or project . . . but your current (equally important) commitments and goals are taking up your time. Or maybe your idea is beautifully complex and is going to take a good bit of time to execute, so you need to schedule it for when you have quality time to focus and work on it. ⚡
AHHHHH! But the ideas are flowing RIGHT NOW! And you need to get them out of your brain somehow before they fly away, right? There are three steps that i have been doing recently that have really helped with managing the waves of inspiration that can appear when creating, and which also set me up for flowing right into the goal mapping routine once I'm ready to tackle them. Today I am starting my day with intention and focus.
I haven’t always been the best at morning routines. Or bedtimes for that matter. One of the things my therapist is working with me on is developing a consistent sleep-wake cycle and morning and nightly routines. Routine and consistency go a long way for someone with my mental illnesses.
We settled on a 2am bedtime and 10am wake, with a nightly routine of no electronics the last hour before going to sleep. This means no TV in my bedroom and no phone use. I was skeptical of changing what I was used to but to no one’s surprise but my own, I’m on a relatively regular sleeping schedule.
My morning and night routines have been a different story. I can’t seem to get in to a flow. I go strong for a few days and then stop.
With moving in to my own place, I’m ready to develop a regular routine. Starting today, I am going to journal and set intentions in the morning. I’m sitting here with my cup of coffee, notebook open, and letting my thoughts spill out on to the page.
Do you have a morning routine? Do you stick to it every day? Let me know your tips in the comments 👇
~A blessing for the home~
May this home be blessed.
May good fortune follow those who pass through this door.
Safe journeys to those who go forth.
May this floor lighten the steps of all who tread upon this surface, and also provide a stable place to stand.
May these walls soak in the rich sounds of laughter and loving, may they hum with art and memories.
May they provide protection from the fiercest winds.
May this roof hold strong and these roots sink deep.
This is our happy home, a place of safety and joy, a place to rest and create. Bless this home.
I’ve finally managed to schedule some ‘me time’ into my week and boy does it feel great!
As soon as Looly goes down for her morning nap, I have 20 minutes to power through some stretches and focus on my breathing
I love being able to incorporate oils into my practice - I set my intention, pick an oil for an emotion I would like some support with and slather all over my heart and wrists.
I’ve been loving Frankincense for grounding, Joy for those days where I want to celebrate life, Release for frustration or bitterness that might be hanging around, Inner Child for bringing out my playful side... gosh I could go on! But these are some of my favourites!
If you want to know more about how oils can support you emotionally, I can point you in the right direction!
A recent article in @organicspamagazine has us thinking about how setting intentions can help us maintain a positive attitude. Instead of being reactive to what our world throws at us, looking at every situation with an intention in mind lets us live more consciously and respond in a way that is positive. Our brains are funny ✨
They can trick us into believing things that aren’t true ✨
Often my brain will beat up my heart asking why I do you feel like this? ✨
But it’s ok to feel, it’s ok to not be “happy” all the time especially as a bride there is so much pressure to be “happy” ✨
What are some of the lies you have believed?
Setting intentions for the day has been so important to me lately. It sets my day up full of happiness, joy, self love and the success that I want for my day✨ I’ve also been journaling a lot, writing more and for someone who is a performing artist, writing has not been my thing to go to. I usually express myself through movement but finding another tool to reflect my thoughts and emotions has been so helpful ✨ #journaling#settingintentions#happiness#kundalini#kriya#day11#light#love#wisdom#palosanto

Going with the flow does not equate to apathy and is not the opposite of hard work. Going with the flow is realising when to let go, when to surrender to the pull even if it wasn’t what you had planned. 🌊🌌
