Hello...how are you? ⠀
I’ve been away for a while 😊 we took a trip to the beautiful island of Corfu, and I enjoyed a complete switch off and made time to relax with my family ☀️🌊⠀
Funny things happen when you come away from the internet, when you switch off from social media, from scrolling and looking and comparing...everything becomes still, and suddenly through the silence you hear the sounds of what to do next, whispers of dreams and ideas pushing through to the surface.⠀
Saturday evening saw a new moon rise, and I sat under a warm, velvety, lavender sky feeling excited about new beginnings and new projects. As I looked up into the night, a shooting star made a silent arc overhead, the biggest one I have ever seen in my life 💫. It felt like a symbol, an omen, the Universe nodding Yes to the new steps I’m going to take, at least, that’s how it felt to me in that moment 🌙💫⠀
So...I’m home now and taking a couple of days to get over a late flight, slowly moving through piles of laundry and getting back to normal...but wait, normal? No...not really, because in those quiet days of immersion in nature, under the bluest of Greek skies and in the warmest of clear seas something changed. ⠀
I’m excited to share these things with you soon, but for now the work begins.⠀
TUMERIC TEA IS MY NEW FAVORITE FRIEND!
Okay y'all, time for more #truth from momma Michelle. I'm still #recovering from that doozy of a month last month, and one of the side effects is that I still can't workout the way I want to. I'll spare you details, but I had to be on a Rx whose #1 side effect is apparently tendon rupture.
Tendon. Rupture. 😲
So, it's been over a week since I finished my Rx and, while the overwhelming soreness is easing away, my large joints are still wicked sensitive/vulnerable. Which means I'm still taking it easy and embracing foam rolling and gentle yoga when I do get to workout.
With all of the various illnesses and setbacks our house has been going through, it's a mind-bender (feel free to replace that verb with a more passionate one) for me to not be able to workout like I feel like I should be. It's been hard to see dates for races that I wanted to do fly past and I feel like I'm stuck in the mud, and not in a fun #ocr way. It's been hard to let go of my progress that I had been making in order to embrace the health of my body right now. And it sucks to feel like a bump on a log.
So what am I doing? Not letting my mental "dark thing" (thank you, Wanted & Wired, for that term) take me down a bunny trail of despair or self loathing or frustration. I'm having Tumeric to help with the swelling and joint irritation after three homeopathic ladies pointed me in that direction (thank you @theradiantleaf and @calcagjm ). I soak in Epsom salt baths. I'm trying to sleep when I can to help recovery. And I'm hustling in other areas for work. In short, I'm loving myself to full health.
Are there any areas you need to love yourself instead of listening to your dark thing? Are there areas where being gentle now will help you set a strong foundation for you to launch toward your goals from later? Do you need to slow down and do that hard mental/heart work on yourself to overcome some obstacles before you can move forward and crush those more physical goals?
I believe in you. And I believe in myself. We'll get there!
🕉🕉☯️☮my EARLY MORNING YOGA FLOW 🙏🙏😙👌
My tamariki had a sleep over at thier nans last night so I'm making the most of this early morning with no interruptions 🙌🙏 I love doing yoga in the morning waking up the body gently, waking up the wairua (spirit) and setting beautiful intentions for the day ❤❤.
.I placed 1 drop of 💚BALANCE-( a grounding blend to help balance emotions and to ground and centre yourself) in the palm of my hand with 1 drop of 💜 LAVENDER PEACE (a.k.a serenity- the restful blend to promote feelings of relaxation ) rubbed my hands together cupped them over my nose and mouth and inhaled deeply while I am seated in a comfortable position I rub any excess on my neck and souls of my feet😚👌👌
Then I take my 💙PEACE (-the reassuring blend to help release any worry and nervousness for the day) i rolled this on my third eye and my heart.
.I start with a meditation and then continue into a flow ending with a chakra meditation 🕉🙏 totally feeling on point today 😚👌😄😜
So my 7th Week of Marathon Training begins.... I just can't stay away from Randall's Island!! I ran 5 easy miles over there! It's even more quiet during the weekday ... so I felt like I was the only one on the island on some of those trails.... I even got a little scared when I heard a noise!!😂😂😂 and usually it was a bird rustling in the bushes !! After running #5miles I did #20minutesofmeditation overlooking the water way and looking across to Astoria- very peaceful!! I made my intentions and goals for the week and thought about what I wanted to accomplish this week in my training!! I know planning it and even writing it down, My intentions will be more accountable in making it happen!! Also! I know this weekend, my #longrun is going to be my longest run since the Big Sur Marathon so this week my self care, nutrition, sleep is important leading up to it so I can execute a good run!! I want to be strong!! So I have that as my main intention this week!! It feels good to have a clear plan!! #settingintentions#settinggoals#tcsnycmarathon2018#runningamarathonisamentalgame#marathonrunner#marathonrunner
Intention has been the cornerstone of my business. The minute I decided to start a coaching business I asked myself:
Why am I choosing this type of business?
The answer came in loud and clear:
I want to help women harness their bravery to live the lives they desire and create inspirational and positive content to help others I may never meet.
My intention to help women harness their bravery and write inspirational content has created a reality that I could not have imagined 4 years ago.
I have met and coached some of the most amazing, brave and intentional women and I feel so grateful to have them as clients.
Every time I hear from a reader I have a “pinch me” moment that my words help make a difference!
All of this is because of the choice to live with intention.
If you would like to learn more about living with intention or how coaching can help you harness your bravery, DM me!
Good morning! So it's Week 5!! Day 1 - Chest and triceps time.
The rest of today I plan to follow my meal plan better (no more snacks after dinner...) and get more sleep. I also want to stay more positive at work because getting stressed out doesn't help anyone. .
What are your goals?? .
Grateful for new friendships, new perspectives, new stories, new understandings, new roads, new emotions, new vision, new strength, new moons, new dawns and new life. ✨🦋 Today, I am whole, yesterday I was too and so will I be tomorrow. 🌌
SO HAM 🕉
Change is stirring. I can feel it in my bones.
You may think it’s silly - after all, hair is just a bunch of protein filaments sprouting to the surface - but my better half put it in simple, truthful words: « hair holds so much energy »
The stories you lived, the (mis)adventures, the ups and downs... Cutting 11 inches has left me feeling lighter. Not just because I’ve shed a few grams in hair weight, but I’ve dropped a ton of old baggage. I am making room for the future to unfold as it will.
Yes, change is coming. In fact, it is here already. [ If your dreams don’t scare you, they ain’t big enough ] Life of Dillon - Dreams (Lost Kings Remix)
PS: some have asked - I donated my long locks to @pantene !
Who else is still feeling the power of Saturday's new moon working in their lives? 🌙🌙🌙 New moons are known to usher in new beginnings, making them a perfect time to let go of the things you're holding onto that are dragging you down, make room for forgiveness + say so long to old grudges, and start new projects + dream up new ideas. They're also great for setting fresh, meaningful intentions. What's one new intention you're setting this week? Let us know in the comments section!
Our Monday’s include uninterrupted time in the morning to set our intentions for the week + achieve some new goals. This week we are focusing on several upcoming events, redesigning our website and rebranding ideas 💡✨ What are your plans for the week, and how do you motivate yourself to get back to the grind after the weekend? @discover_ng
When you’re practicing before class and Babs is secretly snapping photos of you 🙊💕. Something I really love about this group is the endless support and love for one another. You are never short of kind words and confidence boosts with these guys. It’s so special. ✨🧡
Writing your intentions for the week in a visible spot can serve as a great reminder when it's Wednesday or Thursday and the fatigue sets in. My intentions for the week are:
1) smiling and talk to strangers, at least 1x/day. 2) release old stories, negative thoughts, family patterns and taking anything personally. 3) connect with 2-3 people in person, 3/on the phone 4) deepen meditation practice with journaling at the end. 5) write 1 love letter.
