BSF - Romans Lesson 15 - July 17th 2018. (Romans 8:28 - 39)
Principle 1: God promised to work all things for the Good of believers called to His Purpose
Principle 2: God’s Purpose for His children is that they become like Jesus Christ
Principle 3: Nothing can separate us from the Love of Christ
What I have learned:
In all situations, God is always in control even when I am suffering and in trials. He is always there besides me to guide and help me become more like Him.
I am glad to hear that nothing can separate me from the Love of Christ.
This was like when Flash and Supergirl have a crossover episode. My two favorite hobbies merged this week when @homsweethom’s #homwork was to letter a speech. I didn’t mean to include so many words but the sermon was about embracing your weaknesses and it really gave me a lot to think about!
Sketchnote of Fr. Tony Krisak’s homily this morning at 9 am Mass at St. Rose. I usually go into these homilies with the mindset that I’ll do a polished revision of it after Mass. I’m pushing myself these days by doing more “one-and-done” sketchnotes like my friends @profclayton , @jamessaretta , and @rohdesign . I like the challenge, especially because homilies are so short and rather fast at our parish. My simple tools were a Sharpie pen (fine tip) and a dot grid Northbook notebook. #sketchnotes#drawing#illustration#sketch#analog#sermonsketchnotes#sermonsketchnotescommunity
I love the juxtaposition of these two truths: that I am to “work out my own salvation” while at the same time “it is God who works in me”. The responsibility is there, but all the pressure is gone. No matter how hard I work, I don’t get to take the credit (and similarly when I get it wrong, Jesus takes the blame). Have a lovely Monday working, knowing that in Jesus all the pressure is off.
Divine Doubt: I doubt I’m qualified. These are my #sermonsketchnotes from @salemchurchofgod this morning. A timely message about God’s desire to qualify the willing. It comes in the midst of my own reflections on what God is calling our family to now. ..
I love my church! 💒
As a part of the @greatcommissioncollective, with our Harvest churches, we have privilege of having pastors from sister churches come to visit and share God's word with us. Today, I had the pleasure of hearing @harvestbrampton's pastor Chris Shipley speak today at our church, not once, but twice! I decided to give #sketchnotes a try for the very first time during the second service after seeing @betterlettering, and @amandaarneill share their beautiful creations so frequently! I see definite room for improvement, but it was so fun to take notes this way. I think I'll have to incorporate a bit more of this in the future! 📖❤️
“He created all things and in him all things hold together” from Colossians 1
Turns out the image of the invisible God is hard to draw so I settled for a fountain filled with blood this time!
