🌞 WAKE UP WITH THE SUN 🌞
School holidays are on its way for some and for me, today was my first day at Mummy Daycare!
Though, it doesn’t mean we stop working. Parents in business find ways to continue sharing their amazing message on social media platforms.
Bringing my daughter along with me through my daily tasks has been a part of my journey from day dot.
Our children experience the flow of running a business and a household, indirectly helping to build their emotional intellegence.
They get to see the ups and downs of life and how we manage it whilst being a Parentpreneur. We are their role model and displaying a love for work and relishing it, will have a positive impact on their life.
But let’s not sugar coat what the next few weeks are going to look like. Honestly, we are going to wish school started earlier, or that we took more time off for a relaxing holiday.
Wellness peeps suggest ‘letting go’ as an inspirational way to rise out of situations that put us in a funk of a mood. It can be interpreted as a state of mind but it’s also got to do with our body, organs and ‘Inner Energy’. 🌊 Let Go + Go With The Flow 🌊
It’s difficult to ‘let go’ on any level if we feel unsafe. And as we’ve seen, illness, disease and conditions on the body shows how holding on isn’t doing a service to our health.
To help make letting go easier we need to connect with our ‘Inner Energy’ and then we can begin to relax and flow in harmony.
During 5am and 7am, the ‘Inner Energy’ is flowing in the Large Intestine. This is the perfect time frame to ‘let go’ physically and emotionally.
POOP 💩 O’CLOCK
When we wake up between 5am and 7am we give ourselves the opportunity to cut out what no longer serves us!
After 7am this opportunity is gone!
Waking up with the sun is the way to go when wanting to live a positive, happier and healthier life. ‘Living the Inner Energy Cycle’ has been the practise I guide my clients through each day.
Each morning, closest to 5am is the best time to get rid of old crap, built up toxins and negative thoughts. What better way to do it than to poop it out in the loo.
"Deep breathing is an easy way to relax and let your worries go. You can do it pretty much anywhere, and it only takes a few minutes. It helps ease stress; can lower your blood pressure and relax tense muscles. How to: 1. Find a comfortable, quiet place to sit or lie down. Choose a spot where you know you won't be disturbed. If sitting, keep your back straight and your feet flat on the floor. Close your eyes.
2. Place one hand on your belly, just below your ribs. Place the other hand on your chest.
3. Take a regular breath.
4. Now take a slow, deep breath. Breathe in slowly through your nose. Pay attention as your belly swells up under your hand.
5. Holding your breath, pause for a second or two.
6. Slowly breathe out through your mouth. Pay attention as the hand on your belly goes in with the breath.
7. Do this several times until you have a calming rhythm.
8. Now add images to your breathing. As you inhale, imagine that the air you're breathing is spreading relaxation and calmness throughout your body.
9. As you exhale, imagine that your breath is whooshing away stress and tension.
10. Try to deep breathe for 10 minutes or until you feel relaxed and less stressed. Gradually work your way up to 15-20 minutes.
If you're frazzled and don't have 10 minutes to de-stress, even a few deep breaths can help. Once you've practiced it a few times, a mini-version of this exercise can help ease tension. Just imagine that each breath is sweeping away stress, and you may calm your anxiety in just a minute or two.

There's beauty in the unknown. There's beauty in growth and learning and not knowing being so predictable.
You can have your shit together and still be a work in progress. Those people are beautiful and interesting and intriguing. They're the type of people who can have deep conversations with you until all hours of the morning. They're the type of people who can laugh with you and cry with you in the same sentence. The type of people who can talk about the anything and everything that come to mind. They are my kind of people. Be those people. Surround yourself with those people.
This was the card I pulled today after two really strange and overwhelming days and nights. Suffice it to say..I’ve been feeling like “things” turned..poo shaped. 💩
All the good ideas looked like poocaacaa, I got the biggest pimple, I missed every train and ran for the wrong bus, I waited unnecessarily..a lot. Like A LOT A LOT!! My best friend probably hates me because I barked at him desperate for help (I know he doesn’t hate me 😒😏) and I had to pause and cry. 👎🏼
I miss my mom. I miss the people who knew me when. I don’t get enough time with the people who’ve known me now. I’m trying to make new friends and create meaning where the last years have been about surviving and hanging on limbs. 😳💪🏼
My mom Whatsapp’d me back (I likely sounded Daughter Diresome) with the right words of course..at the right time. The next morning. This morning. 🌹🌺💐

I AM NOT YOUR LABEL
Have you every found yourself being labeled when you do not agree with someone's point of view? Well, I have and I have found myself looking at the person and wondering, why are they insecure? Honestly, I have found that a person insecurities will be transfered to you. Moreover, they feel if they bring you down constantly it will make them look better than you. 🎄🎄
My biggest pet peeve is when I am told to check my feelings because I am emotional. Oh my Lord Jesus, they are going to be real emotional and needing counseling if I really say what I am thinking 🤪🤓☠️. My favorite labels are your an alpha, aggressive and strong willed. Well, praise the Jesus (as Madea would say) 🤗🤗🤗.
Yes, self-reflection is sometimes needed, but be cautious you are not changing to please others. I personally embrace labels. My strengths and weaknesses give me tenacity. Additionally, provides me with the tools I need to get through life.

🎈Entering my 41st year ...💃🏻🎊

It is my tradition - every year - right before the clock 🕰 crosses over from the 12th to the 13th of December (the day of my birth) - for me to review my year. .
⚠️Disclaimer: this is going to be another long one 🤣
So here it is:
My 40th year has been nothing short of eventful. .
If you know me - you know I can probably write 100 pages about this - but I won’t (you’re welcome😉).
Instead ...I’ll summarize with my lessons:
1️⃣ Self worth:
For years I’ve been preaching about self worth. In fact - that is one of the biggest aspects of #SpreadAlofa : to spread love - largely to ourselves. To love, honour, respect and adore every fibre of our beings. To fully and wholly know we are perfect, whole and complete the way we are right now and act accordingly. Not 10lbs from now or the next partner from now or the next perfect job from now. Right now. .
🤦🏽♀️Full disclosure : I realized this year that I have not quite been practicing what I’m preaching. A series of events (I’ll spare you the sordid details) have been a sobering indication of that. And now - with my eyes wide open - I am venturing mindfully into this world where I know and LIVE my self worth. .
2️⃣ Empowerment :
I’ve underestimated what I am truly capable of. For years I relied on others for various aspects of my life. My 40th year has been me- myself and I - pushing through the anxiety and discomfort into my strength. I thought I couldn’t. I was told I couldn’t . But guess what? I can. .
3️⃣ Soul-full happiness:
This was the year - I discovered with several nudges which turned into slaps, that what feels ‘good’ isn’t necessarily good for me. As I said in a recent post, the biggest distinguishing factor between something that’s good for me and something that isn’t, is that one fills my soul and the other drains it. And once the soul is drained I am constantly in a loop trying to refill it - only to drain it more. Until my vessel is completely empty. I tapped out this year. And I finally said NO to soul draining - and YES to soul filling. .
