For day 4 of #weyogaforthecause the hosts ask us to show our balance. I went with handstand for this one because I’ve been working on them for so long now and I’ve found quite a bit more balance in them lately. I can’t hold them for very long but I can hold them long enough to snap a quick picture and right now that’s good enough for me 😌🤸🏻♀️
Today we were also asked to share what change we think would make this world a better place.
I’ve been asked this question before and my answer will forever be the same- STOP THROWING YOUR TRASH ON THE GROUND. In all honesty people treat this planet as if they have another one to go to. I’ll repeat.
People. Treat. This. Planet.
As. If. They. Have. Another.
One. To. Go. To.
Every walk i take lately, every beach trip I go on, I’m picking trash up off the ground, or pulling it out of the ocean. The last time my friends and I went to the beach we pulled a five gallon bucket out of the water and by the time we left the bucket was filled with trash.
I went hiking in NY with my girl Taylor a few weeks ago and we found full open cans of spaghettios on the side of the trail 🤬
Bring a trash bag with you when you go somewhere, start buying reusable shopping bags, buy a reusable water bottle. There are so many ways to reduce the amount of trash on the ground and most of them are sooooo simple. Think of all the animals that suffer out of our laziness. How many ecosystems and habitats were affecting. This is our home 💙🌍 we need to take care of it ♻️☀️
It’s never too late to join this challenge! 800 children in Guatemala will benefit from it! Each sponsor will be donating a portion of all sales to the construction of a school there, and two of them are even donating 1$ per participant so the more the merrier! Join us!
One thing I strongly believe in is the power the moon has over all of us. Right now the moon is in the Waning Crescent phase. This moon is a beautiful time to bring closure and endings. If there is something you’d like to release emotionally or physically, these days before the new moon are definitely the best time to do it. Tie up loose ends and gain some closure and clarity. This can be as simple as cleaning your room or house, or something deeper, like writing down what you would like to release and burning it. With this phase in our midst that also means the new moon will be here soon and now is the time to think of the things that have gone by, and to embrace new beginnings. The new moon carries a fresh energy and potency, one that might spark a clarity or purpose within us. The sky is a bit darker at this time, turning us each individually inward toward our own creative light. And that is good. That is healthy. Take some time to be alone and discover new and beautiful things about yourself.-
The moon affects the tide in the ocean, the way food and plants and ecosystems grow, even the way animals live and thrive so it make sense that the moon affects us as well.-
As for me, it’s time to take a deep breath and step back. My mom just got out of the hospital after going in 3 weeks ago and things have been really hard. It’s been affecting me so negatively and I need to stop. I need to go back to being the glass half full kind of person that I am. I need to be strong for my mom, for my dad and my sister and myself. Positive vibes will bring a positive life. I know that people are not indestructible. But what destroys us, is negative energy because it spreads like a virus. I’m not gonna allow that anymore.-
So with that being said, as the moon makes another magnificent turn, I will turn with her 🙏🏽🌒🌑
Like the Wind, I am always changing.
Like the Earth, I am always growing.
Like the Ocean, I am ever flowing.
In my Passion, I am divinely burning.

Day 1 of #GracefulStrengthChallenge 🤩 Stepping to the top of the mat is THE #corekiller First video with blocks, second without them. I didn't have my blocks with me in the park, so I just got on my fingertips for the stepup. I was trying to move extraslow, video 1 sped up 4 times, video 2 just 1.4 to match the 1 minute window on insta. Also, a lil #yogafail in the second one!😅

• AIR IS OUR MAIN FUEL •
We can survive up to 4 weeks without food and up to 4 days without water. But without oxygen we don’t survive more than 3 minutes!!
Day 2 of #YogaIntoTheWild is dedicated to the air element. The quality of our air is changing because of all the massive production we have!! We are such massive consumer, me included! I have a serious problem of being shopaholic! 😂 But after I saw the documentary about Minimalism I’ve been changing my perspective and buying a lot less!
What about the industry of cows? They pollute so much more than cars! (Swipe ⬅️ to see the statistics from Cowspiracy documentary)
We have to be more conscious about all our consumptions. We’re putting in risk this earth, our one and only place to live, our home. 🌏 So by helping this problem I can’t go by bike to work but I can stop eating cow meat. I’m not a vegetarian yet and I don’t know if I will ever be but my goal is to have a 80% to 90% plant-based diet. 🌱
For this day we show you different backbend poses. I’m doing a Reversed Warrior II. A backbend requires to open up the chest to the sky and to create space in the spine. Attention to not bend and collapse on your lower spine. By opening up our chest we are able to mobilize the whole rib cage in order to have a better respiratory function and let all the air in!! 🌬
If you haven’t join this challenge yet you’re still on time!!! We have 8 prizes to give!! Just don’t forget to follow all the rules!! ☺️🙏
LIST OF POSES:
1. Earth/Ground🌎 - Forward Fold ✔️
2. Air🌬 - Backbend ✔️
3. Water💦 - Twist
4. Plants/Animas🌱🐒 - Balancing Pose
5. Sun☀️ - Inversion
