You think we would all be diet pros by now. Yet there are millions of North Americans dieting each year and failing at it.
It’s because of this thing called "set point weight", which is that the body weight is regulated by the brain 🧠. This is why diets don't work.
Whenever your weight changes too much your brain steps in and pushes back to what it thinks is the correct weight for you. It's like the thermostat in your home, when the temperature goes up, the ac turns on.
Everyone has a certain level of body fat that their bodies are happiest at. As you lose weight the brain wants to bring the fat back. It's the starvation response and your brain responds by upping hunger and slowing down your metabolic rate.
You can lower your set point weight so that your body is happy carrying less fat. Check out my story tomorrow for tips😊

❥ REMEMBER ✨ PLEASE READ ❗️❗️❗️
Don’t do what everybody else does, just to fit in. Live in a way that makes you happy every single day. 🙌🏻💖
When I scroll through my feed I see so many people sharing the same.. pretty (but already cold) food pictures 🥘 , bikini photos 👙, prompted brands they have no connection to ... and let’s not talk about the stories 🙈 sometimes I question if they do it for the sake of enjoyment, fame or even to please others?
I like to share whatever I LIKE and I don’t feel sorry for those who don’t like what they see. I like to share things with actual MEANING behind them. Share #inspirationalquotes & things that have helped my on my journey. I feature places I really like, small businesses I feel have a mission (yes often times food as well because I really enjoy eating 😋)! But if we’re honest: WHO CARES WHAT you eat, who you meet, where you go? I feel so FREE without having to update my “community” with everything I do or where I go. I like to keep it for MYSELF. Like to ENJOY the moment. If I capture it in a photo (like the last photo I shared) there’s still time for me to post it later. Time to write a story, to recapture the moment. That’s about it. Thank you for reading! 🙌🏻✨ #letsmakesocialmediasocialagain -
➵ also: there is a a new blog post about my recovery journey! check out link in bio & feel free to share your thoughts and feelings by using the hashtag #AboutTheGoodLife 🙏✨ @villa_kunterbunt_deluxe
Today’s leaders MUST foster the character trait of COURAGE in those they would influence because fear is the mind destroyer and as human beings we are what we think about. #leadership#courage#selfdetermination
Circular Diaries - Part three:
Fair Distribution _
This seems one of the most crucial questions of our times! But what is fair? Definitly not an easy question to answer. Nonetheless, the global, distributional injustice calls for change! How can this problem be solved - by taking from the »top 1%« and distribute it evenly?
As you can see, the global wealth is distributed highly unfair. The "top 1%", as referred to often, own nearly half of the world's assets.
The graph shows, as reported by Credit Suisse in November 2017:
0.7% of the world's adult population
with more than 1 million USD in private means
own 45.9% of the world's assets.
7.9% of the world's adult population
with private means between 100.000 and 1 million USD
own 39.7% of the world's assets.
21.3% of the world's adult population
have private means between 10.000 and 100.000 USD
and share about 11.6% of the world's assets
70.1% of the world's adult population
have private means up to 10.000 USD
and share 2.7% of the world's assets.
What does this tell us? That billions of people are cut from luxury, even from fullfilling basic needs and also billions are close to poverty and with it comes hunger, desease, resentment, anger, frustration, hatred. It would be great if those 29.9% of world's population could help out, right? And those who can afford to give more do so. But instead of taking from anyone we should change the way this wealth is distributed in a way everyone can benefit from it. It is the wrong way to play off people against each other, so this step can only be taken together. But that is difficult, unfortunately. 😏
