Seeded paprika, turmeric and mixed herb crackers - making Christmas presents. You can use any kind of flour (we often use a wholemeal mixture; those ends of bag bits), a mix of any seeds and crushed nuts, herbs and spices you have/think will go well together. Topping with cheese ends is a good way to use up leftover bits and bobs if you’re not keeping them plant based.

Scrolling through my photos, I came across these seeded crackers I made a while back. Recipe from @_sarahwilson_ I Quit Sugar book. Just reminded myself that's it's about time I whipped up another batch. They are perfect topped with mashed avocado, hummous or any other dip. The perfect addition to a lunchbox too... just snap and enjoy!
Seeds are high in all sorts of goodness.... vitamin B1, calcium, magnesium, fibre and zinc. Sesame seeds contain both magnesium and calcium, both nutrients great for their stress reliving properties, zinc is great for repairing tissue damage and for regulating immune function.
High in good fats and protein, these grain free, nutfree, gluten free cracker, they are a great choice for all.
Do give these a go!
75g chia seeds
75g sunflower seeds
60g sesame seeds
50g ground almond
2 cloves crushed garlic
2 teaspoons chopped herbs (sage, oregano, thyme, rosemary)
1 teaspoon @mara_seaweed dulse/seaweed or chilli flakes to taste.
1/4 sea salt
Preheat oven 170c and line a baking tray with baking paper.
Combine seeds and ground almonds in a bowl.
I'm a separate bowl, whisk remaining ingredients with 250ml water.
Pour liquid mixture into the seed mixture and stir until thick/combined.
Spread mixture on tray, pressing down using the back of a spoon until approx 5mm thick.
Bake for 30 mins. Remove from oven, cut into 30 crackers using a knife. Flip over and bake for another 25 mins.
Cool on the tray and enjoy. These will keep beautifully in a sealed container for up to 2 weeks.

FIVE SEED CRACKERS 🌿
Delicious gluten free, grain free, vegan, keto, moreish, nutty tasting home made crackers that make a great healthy snack by themselves or with your favourite dip, soup, cheese ...
1 cup sunflower seeds
3/4 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup chia seeds
1/2 cup sesame seeds (I used a mix of black and white sesame seeds)
1/4 cup flaxseed (linseed)
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups water
1 tbsp dried herbs of your choice (I used thyme)
1 tsp chilli flakes (optional)
Preheat oven to 170C (340F) fanbake.
Mix all ingredients together and leave for 10-15 minutes for the seeds to soak up the water.
Give everything a good stir, then spread thinly. The ideal thickness is about 3-4mm. Too thin and the crackers will be very fragile, too thick and they'll be more like a seed cookie than a cracker.
Bake for one hour or until golden brown and crisp. If they don't feel crisp after an hour, return to the oven for another 5-10 minutes.
Remove from the oven, allow to cool, then break into irregular shards. Store in an airtight container.
Note: Once the cracker mixture has cooled, Break them up into irregular pieces OR remove them from the oven halfway through baking, slice into squares or rectangles, then return to the oven to finish crisping up like I did:) .
