Today marks month down living out of suitcases! 💼 One more to go!⠀
It’s about as glamorous as it seems which means not at all! There are Ziploc bags full of my cosmetics, and I still don’t feel like I’m organized whatsoever! ⠀
I am so thankful for great friends that let me have my suitcases strewn throughout their homes. A few more weeks and then we’ll be driving across the country to our new home in Washington with not one, but two giant dogs. Keep me in your prayers 🙈
All the vibes of the season!
Loved creating this look with some of our favs!

planning. | I get asked a lot if I'll ever phase out being a wedding planner and, without hesitation, I always answer "no".
For those of you who don't know, the wedding planning branch of my co. is my first career love. I stumbled into it right after college, built up a portfolio by assisting a wedding photographer + offering low cost planning services, and realized immediately that it encompassed literally every single one of my inherent strengths. It challenged me, it gave me a real life tetris puzzle to solve, and, most of all, it allowed me to meet + serve incredible people who I never would've met otherwise. I fell head over heels.
I'm going into my 7th season of wedding planning next year and have never felt more excited + confident about serving my planning clients well. Don't get me wrong, being a wedding planner is the hardest job I've ever had. Hands down. I have cried many tears, I have put out a literal fire (on the buffet table), I have watched a donut board fall over onto a wedding cake (😱 another story for another time), and I have had to make executive decisions when the weather is reaaaaal questionable. I've DEFINITELY wanted to give up. But I never do. I genuinely feel that it is my calling and I genuinely can't imagine not doing it.
That said, seasons change and with the season of calligraphy design, I've had to make decisions to be able to do both. I've scaled back on the number of weddings I plan/coordinate each season + have curated my services so that I work with couples where there's a mutual connection that goes beyond just hiring a professional to manage their wedding. I'm already almost fully booked for 2019 and it's gonna be a BALLER planning season 🤩
So long story long - no. I will not be phasing out wedding planning any time soon and I can't wait to see what's next in the journey!

We absolutely loved the floral arrangements @millsweetflowerco brought to the Passion to Profit event. Down to the little details of the vases Jacki used as well as bringing some mini pumpkins really brought the design home. We love seeing and working with vendors who care about details as much as we do.
Just like this ribbon feels luxurious, soft and refined I’d love to know how you want to feel on your wedding day? Do you want to feel beautiful, relaxed, taken care of, sexy, happy, excited, joyful? So much goes into a wedding day and the very first question I ask is how do you want to feel? For the next month I’ll be posting a bit more about my processes and how I love to take care of my clients. I’ll be taking a deeper dive into it on my blog and I’d love to hear from you! Let me know what questions you have below and how I can best support you! -

I love my boss! Not to toot my own horn but I’m definitely my favorite boss I’ve ever had! 🤣 Starting my own biz was the best decision I’ve made for myself—Can’t believe we are going on 5 wedding seasons now!! Happy National Boss’s Day to all you bossy ass ladies and fellows!

heart. | I took yesterday afternoon off. 😶 This is not fake news.
Anyone who is an entrepreneur knows that it is a daily hustle - work hard/play hard, rise + grind, #notime2sleep . Days off give me anxiety. If I take a day off, who's going to keep the hustle going???
So when my dad asked if we could schedule a hike on a Monday, I froze a little (ironic because I literally froze due to my own stubbornness on our hike) and then carefully picked through the days in Sept / Oct to find one that felt "safe". When yesterday morning rolled around, I literally felt panic + shoved as much work into the morning as I could. I even brought work with me in my backpack ON OUR HIKE. 🤦♀️
I am happy to report that I didn't touch that work. I saw the most stunning paths, rivers, trees, mountains. We found 2 herds of the most regal elk. I got to play amateur photographer + I froze in the pitch black so that my dad could search for / photograph owls. We were literally the only two in Mt. Rainier National Park (at Sunrise) by the time we left. It was so quiet and so peaceful and such a beautiful change of pace.
And guess what? No one died, my company didn't crumble to the ground. The hustle is still right where I left it.
If it's been awhile since you've taken a day - or even a few hours - to do whatever it is that brings you peace, do it. Even if everything in you is screaming "NO NO NO!!", do it. Take the afternoon. Recharge. Your company isn't going anywhere; it'll be there when you're back. Promise. ♡
PS, if you've read this far, get at me with your favorite WA hikes because I'm obviously a veteran hiker now and want to start a list 👇

Last Friday, we had the chance to be a part of @seattlebusinessbabes community event as sponsors/attendees. This week, we’ll be putting the spotlight on some of the amazing vendors we’ve encountered and worked with from the event! ———
First up, we have @vintageambiance! Their lounge area was so insta-worthy! There were so many pieces to choose from their collection, it was hard to choose favorites. We thought that adding a lounge area for the event would be a great idea not only for a cute insta setup, but also to invite guests to be comfortable and spark conversations with each other.
The main role we played was to create a cohesive theme for the event in which we came up with Rustic Fall (based on the vision of @alishakumar, the chapter’s leader). We rallied the decor dream team to get behind this theme and create an amazing vibe for all our fellow attendees. ———

・ “Stephanie + Lenny are up on the blog! Don’t miss out on amazing moments like.. Uhm.. this one!! Isn’t she gorgeous?
Yesterday, my friend and fellow photog, Kait, put on a styled wedding we’d been envisioning for month! And not only was the hard work all worth it, but I can’t imagine doing this photography journey alone. I have so many photographer friends, and I can’t imagine what I’d do without their support, insight, encouragement, and inspiration. ***
Community is so important in every profession. And this week I encourage you to seek out someone in your industry to walk along side you, celebrate with you, cry with you, and support you. ***
Be the kind of person that lifts up others. Because you can start that rising tide. And at the end of the day what else do we have except what we did for others and how much love we gave?”
