Let’s talk Kitchen Economy for a hot second!!! 🌱✨🌎♻️
This is awesome stuff! Kitchen economy is all about making as much delicious food as you can using the least amount of money! 🍽
It’s about being conscious of where your food comes from & the care it took to grow it 🌱
It’s about appreciating each bite, minimizing waste, and ultimately considering your personal carbon footprint ♻️
Living a healthy, organic, clean, seasonal, sustainable, insert-other-eco-buzz-word-here lifestyle doesn’t mean you have to eat food scraps or boring meals you can’t hardly stand (or afford)!!! I like fancy meals + champagne on a Tuesday night! 🥂 because why not?! Life is WAY too short not to enjoy the fancy life! But it’s also too short to run out to the store at 8pm because you ran out of something!
Kitchen economy is about using what you have! It’s about extending the life of simple ingredients by getting multiple uses out of as many as you can! 🙌🏻
Being economical connects you to your food in a very deep way! 🌱💛🍽
At the end of the day, kitchen economy speaks to both a richer bank account and a richer connection with the food you eat & the planet! 🌎❤️✨✌️ it’s got me thinking 💭🤔🌱
I really like foraging for special events...every dish is curated and the ingredients are sourced with love, appreciation and respect. These locally foraged juniper berries are going into the 7th course for tomorrow's dinner. Super excited to welcome autumn with the first of the Edible dinner series with @mjamesgray and @chefdolente space held @thewatchthatendsthenight
Happy first day of fall! At this time last year I was pulling out all of my favorite fall-scented candles, not this year, no thanks! Only healthy smells in my home now. Diffuse some of these oil combinations to get into a cozy fall spirit!

Happy First Day of Fall! 🍂 Here’s a fun #pumpkinspiced lunch idea to celebrate my (new) favorite season.
My kids begged for more salad topped with pumpkin spice glazed walnuts. I don’t blame them either. This lunch felt like a big treat, and us mamas need treats too.
Thanks to @babblemakes for asking me to show some adult #lunchboxlove . (#sponsored )
Cheers to a new season of abundance, opportunity and reflection. What are you excited about this Fall? 🍁
➕glazed walnuts: drop a bit of vegan butter or oil into a pan and add in some raw walnuts, a drizzle of maple syrup and a heavy dusting of pumpkin spice. sprinkle the nuts with some sea salt and sauté for a minute or two until they become sticky. lay them out on parchment paper and bake them slowly in the oven (300 for about 8-10 mins but watch for burning!). Let them cool completely before enjoying.
➕iced pumpkin spice chai: mix pumpkin spice with raw honey and allow it to drip into your glass to your liking. add ice to your cup. mix @bluelotuschai with half almond milk and half water with a frother and pour it into the drippy glass.
➕pumpkin spice cracker cookies: will link original recipe in my stories. just add 1tsp of pumpkin spice and 1/2tsp of cinnamon to the mix before baking.
