It’s amazing what you find whilst wondering through a council estate in #southeastlondon . Kingswood house aka ‘Bovril Castle’ (from when it was owned by the inventor of Bovril). Former convalescence home for wounded Canadians soldiers during WW1 and now community centre used for civil ceremonies among other things. What an amazing hidden gem!

Had so much fun on the first two days of Little Brushstrokes Summer Art Camp at @uppernorlibhub. So far the children have created artwork in the style of Pablo Picasso, Wassily Kandinsky, Piet Mondrian and Alma Woodsey Thomas as well as some very creative sketches of the Sphinx in Crystal Palace Park. We’re off on a trip to a local gallery today and we’ll be looking at Frida Kahlo, Georgia O’Keefe, Vincent Van Gogh and a few others over the next few days. I love this yoga studio, my only wish is that I could get here more often. I’ve been coming to classes at the Yoga Edge for the last couple of years
At first I was intimidated by the studio layout and how close the mats are together but after my first class it didn’t matter to me
There’s a wide range of classes at different times of the days, each da of the week and it’s all bookable via the @mindbody app
I really recommend getting to @charlottetayloryoga and @negeenaramyoga classes. They are dynamic, engaging and hot, but not too hot! I always feel markedly calmer and balanced after I’ve been to a class
I’m never conscious of my ability compared to others, you can find the right pace for you. They offer a 30 day trial for £40 which is an amazing price and a great way to dip your toes into regular yoga practice.
B A L A N C E
This week is going to be all about balance, looking after myself as well as everyone else. Eating well, getting to yoga practice, relaxing bedtime routines for us all and simply slowing the pace down.
