While my previous life as an urban monk, on a personal path of holiness and enlightenment appeared as spiritual not religious, it actually parallels with Martin Luther's religious experience who became a Catholic monk because he lived in fear-religion; he thought that would make him closer to God, making vows of lifelong chastity and eating in a certain way, wearing certain holy clothes. Spiritualists think they're more evolved than religion and they worship self and man's wisdom, but it's no different from any other false religion. The biggest way Satan deceives is by bringing us all into false religion without us even knowing we're in it. All false religion worships self and free will, making man as God.
None of Luther's religious practices made him more godly. It just made him more afraid and it was an exhausting cycle. The same as spiritual seekers always hunting for the next hit to feel good and Scripture says, “Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 2 Timothy 3:7 When Luther was saved from religion and led the Reformation, in rebuke to the papacy he said, “Unless I am convicted by Scripture and plain reason, my conscience is captive to the Word of God. I cannot and will not recant anything, for to go against conscience is neither right nor safe. Here I stand. I cannot do otherwise. God help me. Amen.”
You can try to fill yourself up with sacraments or go to great cathedrals, or if your flavor is spiritualism then you can meditate thousands of hours, aim for self enlightenment, travel to holy lands, do yoga, go vegan or you can fight for social justice and try to save the world. We can profess God on our lips, and do all the spiritual things and our entire life will be a mess because none of it puts away sin.
Once we are in Christ, we no longer live in darkness, but in the true light. We are no longer a slave to fear. He changes who we are, not just what we do...and the fear is gone. We no longer focus on keeping all the rules, or focusing on self, and our spiritual rituals and personal holiness. 🌱Full article CLEAR CONSCIENCE in profile link. #simplegospel
This is such an encouraging verse for all who face temptations each and every day. God is faithful in every temptation to make a way of escape for us! Praise the Lord! ▪️ Please follow me: -@_jesus_islord_
This week has been an emotional rollercoaster.
Grad week is full of fun/ laughs/celebrating (no other week is it socially acceptable to have a glass of prosecco every morning). It’s also been a time for goodbyes. Which I don’t find particularly easy. So today I took some time with Jesus to process this week and I thought I’d share something which hit me: how can we pray for God to move in our lives if we aren’t prepared for the change that will come?
There is no way to fully embrace what He has for us if we’re clinging to what’s familiar and comfortable.
I would love to hear what God’s been putting on your heart recently 👇🏻
Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Please follow me: -@jesus_inlife_
We would be so much better off as Christians if we went to the Lord in prayer about people instead of talking about them. If you spent some time in prayer about your concern over a specific person and allow the Lord to take care of it then we would all be so much better off.
This verse in 1 Timothy tells us that we should be praying for all people. Let’s do that! It would transform our Christian lives for the cause of Christ! ▪️ Please follow me: -@christ__forever
When we love the Lord with all of our strength, we'll discover that our entire lives will be transformed. We'll be more joyful, we won't worry, we won't be afraid, and we'll treat others the way God wants us to treat them.
This verse reminds us that God is not a passive Commander. He does not just sit around and wait for you to pray or do His will. He is at work. In your heart, in your mind, in your relationships and circumstances.
Sometimes I’m proud.
Too proud to do things I think are beneath me. Proud enough to think I deserve recognition for things. Proud enough to try to take the glory away from Christ and put it on myself. •
Wow that’s arrogant. Arrogant and S O wrong. Without Christ, nothing is good in me. •
— N O T H I N G —
So today, let’s go out and be boastful. Boastful in Christ. And what He’s done for us. Boastful in the cross and the fact that the price for our sin was PAID IN FULL. Boastful in the fact that the creator of the universe wants to have a individual relationship with us. When we boast. Let it be in the Lord. •
I can just picture the Pharisees chomping at the bit trying to trick Jesus in this passage. They asked what the greatest commandment is. I envision that Jesus starts answering to Love God with all your heart (ha! We got him!), all your soul (that doesn’t cover everything!), and all your mind (oh, junk! He got us!). •
Jesus knew exactly what they were trying to do before they even tried it. He said today’s verse and continued that the 2nd greatest command is to love others. He even explained that ALL the laws and the prophets (that these pious leaders focused more on than the Messiah in front of them) hinges on these 2 commands.
Speaking of the Messiah, read the rest of the chapter (22:41-46) to see Jesus’ epic mic drop. 🎤 Boom.
Those 2 commands are still applicable today: Love God. Love others.
Proverbs 26 talk a lot about being “wise in one’s own eyes.” Here’s what Gill’s Exposition on the Entire Bible has to say about that: “some have imagined they have arrived to perfection; and such are generally conceited, proud, and haughty, and despise others; all which flows from ignorance; for, though they fancy themselves to be wise, they are very ignorant of themselves; of the plague of their own hearts; of the law of God, and the spirituality of it, and the extensiveness of its demands; of the strict justice and righteousness of God, which will not admit of an imperfect righteousness in the room of a perfect one”
The wise are above all else, humble.

This is where the Lord took me for Sunrise on Friday the 13th. 😂It was a private castle up high in the woods. It makes no sense that the GPS took me there. Haha No sense. But Jesus wanted to show me how He saw me. Jeremiah 31:2-5... 1 Peter 2:9-10.. 😍 Just Read those bible verses. 😉And feel loved. Looking at this photo is breathtaking for me, but it can not capture what I saw with my own eyes that day. I don’t need to live in a castle. I don’t need fancy clothes. I have always needed to know and feel loved, and Jesus keeps pursing me, chasing me down, reminding me that I was loved before I even was in my mothers womb. 😊And He will put me up in the highest castle to overlook His land, just so I can get another look at how much He loves me and will always provide for me. 😍😍 Exactly one week later, and I’m back in that castle once more, but this time, it’s a deeper love that is found inside my heart. Wow!! •
"The righteous are as bold as a lion." Proverbs 28:1
Keep saying yes. It is worth it to go on the adventure of a new experience; to walk into opportunities before you. 🌱🌿🌾 God, thank you for these sweet friends. Yes, is such a powerful word a word that opens up to the "next thing" a possible "new thing". We said yes to you, give us the courage to continue trusting you and saying yes to things you give us. Doing the things, going places, taking leaps knowing you have us. It is new. It is unknown. But you are never changing and are known to us. You make us brave. Thank you for being with us, guiding us, and preparing us for "yes". Life with you is the greatest adventure. We love you. 🌻
And with the grace of the LORD, I made it to Friday with my certifications Pt.1... Let us pray:
“Stop looking for a reason to hate me, just hate me
Nobody's perfect you know, I'm working on me
They jealous how they lurking on me, I don't mind
My new girl's not too thirsty to ride, she riding for me
Ride or dying for me
Girl, you're the reason, you're lonely tonight
But this is the season to get back your life
This is your chance (I know you know the truth)
Come take a chance
(It's not that I blame you, I know you know the truth)
When you see (I know you know the truth)
It's not that I blame you, it's not you that I blame you
I blame you...”

I have to tell you about this verse in the picture!!!
A few months ago I was lead to write it down & put it on my fridge. Now at that time, eventhough it's a powerful verse it didnt hold a great significance for me then. But none the less...I was obedient & did what I was instructed to do. Fastforward to this moring & BOOM🙌 What did JESUS use to Minister & Speak to me today...THAT VERSE I obediently placed there a few months ago 🤩 •
There is Truly is NO greater Internal Joy. Than waking up & spending time with JESUS. Having the Holy Spirit engluf me in PEACE & UNDERSTANDING. Knowing that the battle is already won. For HE gained victory over Satan for us, when He shed His blood on the cross🙌
Because of His IMMENSE LOVE & SACRIFICE for me, I AM WALKING IN VICTORY DAILY!! (AND SO CAN YOU MY FRIENDS...IF YOU ONLY BELIEVE & OBEY HIS WORD & THE LEADERSHIP OF HIS HOLY SPIRIT!!!)
So when some ugly monster tries to rear its hideous head trying to drag me down. I know how to counter it with the Word of God & faith in action(prayer, worship & OBEDIENCE) instead of trying to fight it off in my own strength.🙌💪😁 #thebattleisthelords#strength#obedience#jesusfollower#daily#victory#thecross#bloodofjesus#saved#holyspirit#time#sacrifice#joyfilled#scripture#godsword#spritualwarfare
Incredibly excited to be starting this new chapter with my sweet little family, in my wildest dreams I couldn’t have imagined the ways our lives would have turned out, being a homeowner always scared me somewhat, & now that it’s here I am fully ready to take on whatever lies ahead of us. We truly are so blessed, Thank You Jesus! 🙏🏼
As we examine our faith today, it is important to remember that knowing God is not simply about checking a bunch of theological boxes. To be clear, sound doctrine is vitally important (2 Timothy 4:3). But faith without fruit is false. Belief that does not lead to a change in behaviour is insufficient. A heart that has truly been transformed by Jesus will be obvious outwardly.
In the words of Jesus, “You’ll recognize them by their fruit.” (Matthew 7:20). .
God is in the business of transformation. He is all about changing lives, and He wants to do so more and more in each of us today. The key to producing fruit is not about trying harder in our own strength. We can do nothing apart from Jesus (John 15:5). It’s about learning to abide in Him with a surrendered and willing heart.
Prayer: Father, I thank you that you have poured out your grace on me. Thank you that through faith in Jesus, I can know you. I pray that by your Spirit you would continue to change me today. May the fruit of my life reflect the fruit of your Spirit more and more. Take me deeper in my faith today. Teach me to abide. Help me to obey. Amen.

This is what I know: ...to experience change in our very nature, we need the Word of God.
It is an unseen work that is done...and what happens to us when we abide in the Word of God?
It's here, in the private depths of your soul, He does His greatest work in us. As you commit to this process you too will experience internal transformation that in time will cause external change.
Never get over what He has done for you. Because the truth is, transformation happens over and over in the abundant life. It’s not a one time story of salvation but a lifelong novel of transformation.
