School time. Next week kids will go back to school. This photo reminds me of my early days in school when all I wanted was to meet my friends and have a lot of fun everyday. Playing games and learning new stuff develop their creativity and prepare them for life.
This is a picture that was sent to me of the original Bell Farm that I had printed and framed. Back then, schoolhouse properties were typically named after the family property that was deeded to the school. After the school's closing, it was usually deeded back to the original property. I travel this road almost daily. Bell School would sit a ways off to the right of this picture, down in that valley. For years, I remember very minimal barn remains being there, and also what appeared to be a spring house, all the while never knowing what farm it really had been. The barn bridge is still visible. That barn is gorgeous 😍
Project Hope Alliance has made it into the final 200 entries of State Farm's national Neighborhood Assistance Campaign! The 40 campaigns that receive the most votes will be awarded $25,000.
Receiving $25,000 would be catalytic funding, increasing current commitments to the Promotor Programs growth and ensuring we are able to conduct a thorough evaluation of all the students and their needs on both campuses.
Vote up to 10 times a day until 11:59:59pm ET on August 24!
