Well, we finally have some chilly weather here in south GA and it feels oh so nice! This is usually the busiest time of year for most photographers, myself included. Not only are we booked with weddings and fall sessions, but also, this is the time of year that I’m photographing most of our own family memories...fairs, pumpkin patches, Santa, family events, birthdays. My poor camera doesn’t catch a break this season! Today, we visited the pumpkin patch with my daughter’s preschool and now I’m back home, in my hooded jacket, sipping my pumpkin spice coffee and knocking out some editing before heading back out to a birthday party and finishing the day with our community group bible study! Whew! It’s a crazy life but I’m most definitely thankful for the people in it! 💜
I hate ranting but here it goes: I've noticed every time I log into Instagram there's a new update or a new feature available and sometimes keeping up with all these things is so exhausting! As much as I love Instagram, it's starting to become increasingly apparent that as time passes, the more difficult it is to grow as a small business and how much this app wants us to believe that numbers define us. For example, we all know that if our posts don't get the usual amount of likes/comment IG will believe it's a post your followers don't want to see so only a small percentage of who follows you sees your posts, then they added the feature to save posts so if nobody saves your posts it also means your photo isn't ''good enough'' and now there's a feature to see how many people shared your post on their messages 🙄, anybody else feel annoyed with all these new algorithms and updates?
The classic ice cream on da nose trick made for some of my favorite photos of Brooke & Hunter. What is a cute date spot I can stalk my next couple at? I’ve already got Coastal Carolina Fair on my list. But I need more ideas! Go!
Getting excited for all my fall engagements left. Hoping it stays green a little bit longer. But by mid November, it can snow every week for all I care. Just a few work weeks left for me and I can’t wait.
this was the last shot I took in the daylight during Michelle and Ben's wedding, when we snuck outside for some quick sunset photos during the the last bit of fading light, and as soon as I clicked the shutter, I knew it would be my favorite
Today was so much fun! I loved getting to shoot Adriana and Houston’s wedding! They got married at Callenwolde with an early ceremony, so we did something unique and we went to Piedmont Park afterwards for some shots. It was packed out with a crazy large event, but luckily I know the secret spots that make it look like we had the whole park to ourselves! Ironically a photographer friend texted me while we were there asking where these spots were because of how crazy crowded the park was. I was happy to help her out and share where we went. I loved this shot so much! I can’t wait to edit and get more finished for y’all to see!
@christiclarkphoto got this of me as we prepared for yesterday’s wedding ceremony to begin and my first thought was “I’m so glad my prebaby favorite outfit looks good on me again” and my second thought was “dear god I look like a serial killer.” 🤣🤣🤣 a peak behind the curtain friends. I honestly can’t stop laughing.
Yesterday was so much fun hanging out with these two capturing their engagement. There is nothing better than a sunrise shoot and getting to have fun at a brewery. Can’t wait to share a couple more sneak peaks coming tomorrow!
We’ve been rewatching the Harry Potter movies while I catch up on editing because I love to watch them around Halloween. And now I’m itching to reread them and find a good butter beer recipe. If you’ve got one that isn’t garbage, help a sista our!
Sunday’s are for resting, snuggling up with your honey and making sweet memories ❤️
This Sunday for me has included resting after a beautiful wedding yesterday, editing and packing for Washington & California! I’m so excited for the next few weeks, but I’m also looking forward to when I can take a full day off! It’s so difficult for me to take a day off and not work at least some, but I’m really trying to make myself take at least one day off every week! We all need a little R&R, am I right?! 😉🙌☺️
One of my all time favorite groom shots! I actually had a bride give me a wonderful compliment saying she loved how I wasn’t “Bride heavy” that I showed groom shots in my portfolio! I love my Grooms and always make sure to spend just as much time documenting them on wedding days. I mean hey the bride isn’t marrying herself 😜
Oh my goodness, y'all. After their gorgeous beach wedding, Kristy and Jacob climbed to the top of the St. Simons Island lighthouse. It was sunset and her dress blew in the soft breeze.
It was perfection! (And I didn't die from climbing ALL those steps. And I didn't die from my fear of heights. And I didn't die from falling over the rail.)
Yesterday my sister said “I do” to her high school sweetheart at the gorgeous @barnatcottonwoodranch and today I woke up to 70 degree weather and football- I couldn’t ask for a more perfect weekend 🙌🏼

There's nothing quite like that just married joy! Happy first day of marriage, Icela and Daniel! So fun yesterday photographing with @christiclarkphoto. PS this chapel is one of the prettiest ceremony locations in Beaufort and I love when I get to work there. St. Peters is where it's at with those gorgeous wooden floors and massive windows.
Feeling free as a bird today — it’s been such a lovely weekend away celebrating love and breathing in one of my very favorite places on Earth. Marina-side brunch on a sunny patio, watching the steam rise from this cup of coffee and watching the palm fronds flutter in the breeze. Collect these moments and hold them close. ♥️

I’ve been DYING to share Brittany’s bridal session and now that she’s married, I can! Bridal sessions are so fun and I always leave so excited to get home and edit and then I can’t share them for months 🙈 but don’t worry, there’s lots of these to come 😉 check my story for some sneaks from yesterday!!
