You should read my previous post to fully understand my KBBQ experience at the newly reopened Mashidda.
🥩LA Galbi 15.9€ [BBQ]
🥘Modeum Special 15.9€ [BBQ]
🍚Special Rice 3€
🍜Dolsot Bibimbap 9.5€
The Modeum Special also comes with strips thick of pork belly, which is itself a good idea but I simply prefer the marinated meat, where it is possible to get some legit roasting flavour.
Whenever you eat KBBQ, you have to scratch the burnt areas with the meat. The juice should unstick the burnt areas and this is exactly what you want. Many people simply let's the meat "boil" on there without being proactive, which also results in a fine outcome. But that's not the desired outcome you want to have, when really grilling meat.
Since the LA Galbi was on my side, I exactly did as described and not only was the meat so good marinated on it's own, it got such a rich roasting flavour too.
Definitely can recommend this dish, which was the best beef so far I had at a Korean place.
We also had the super spicy CheeseBuldak. This dish is really greasy thanks to the chicken thigh and mozzarella. Underneath the chicken lies a bed of onions and leeks which can soak up all the spicy sauce. Spice level is a little bit higher than the Fire Noodle Challenge 1x, so be careful when ordering it.
We would have loved more cheese at the end, in order to mild it down and get more gooey cheesy action.
Refillable side dishes you can expect are kimchi, pickled radish, tuned "Arirang potatoes" and iceberg lettuce topped with finely chopped raw onions rings lying in a soy sauce base. Can't really much complain about them since there are good. However I can't also say more about them, since I also had better ones somewhere else.
What you should also get is the Special Rice. It is rice flavoured with seaweed, sesame and sesame oil. It will be served on your grill after you finished your BBQ. A flavourful and super crispy version of fried rice is what you should expect and wraps the meal up with it's light aroma.
Will try out the So Bulgogi next, which comes with a HUGE amount of veggies beside the beef.

Fica divina frita na banha de porco como recheio de pão de queijo...
Sometimes the most amazing meals are the least photogenic. I found this incredible thing made of magic in a cart outside the Guanghua Digital Plaza. I saw a line and knew that it meant at least decent food but the blast of flavor was unexpected. This is one of the most amazing street food items I’ve had. At first I thought it was a sausage within a sausage. But to my surprise it’s something like this: the bottom white “sausage” is sticky rice. Fried. Split open like a bun and with some sweet dark bbq-ish sauce. On top it has a delicious pork(?) sausage split open to accommodate raw garlic sauce. And when I say raw, i mean spicy raw. I can still taste it and it’s been an hour and I’m still in love with it. If you are in Taipei don’t forget to try it. I still don’t know what it’s called but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to pronounce it anyway. If you know please comment #ricesausage#sausage#streetfood#taipei#taiwan
