We had just under 100 people come out tonight to Melissa's walk downtown of Regina's many historic buildings. The gains are coming back!! Super happy with the strength and aesthetics I have rn!! Not too lean, but not too fat either 😂😂 right at this given physique I feel I have some really good strength without looking like a hippo on Christmas!! Still looking to shred down though! Never satisfied!!

Given I am really good at entering and leaving the whole “focused af on lifting” sort of mindset that comes with putting my headphones on, which is something you get used to! Smashing goals one step at a time!

Idk about you, but I love wearing sweaters in the gym! Gets me warm faster during my warm up, then when it gets uncomfortably hot, I take it off and I’m still warm my entire workout! I also feel a stronger sense of superiority, because whenever I see some guy wearing a heavy sweater to the gym I’m thinking “damn that guy means business” and I feel like I pull off that vibe fairly well! 🙌 Wear your sweaters to the gym!

After a good 2 weekends of drinking, it’s really taken a toll on my performance and physique! 🙃 the memories were totally worth it!! But now that I don’t foresee drinking in the near future, it’s really time to get these macros on point! -

Weighing in around the 180-185 range, not at all where I want to be right now, but I’m being totally transparent and honest! I still have my goal of getting to the low 170s/ high 160’s before purposefully putting on size! I no longer have a deadline as I have no idea how long this is going to take, but for now, I really gotta rake charge! I can do this! #goals

Developing a friendship is an amazing benefit when it comes to coaching, and Tyler is such a great guy! He’s a little quiet but I like it when he talks more often! He’s a lot like me that way! One thing I thought I’d never do is decrease my carbs and increase fat! Usually I opt for a higher carb diet but I feel different changing my ratios around! I’m gonna see what this does to my body in the long run! My carbs are now below 300, fats are now above 60! Knowing myself I would of never thought of trying this, but let’s just see what happens!! Experimentation is key!

It’s gonna take another 8 to learn to live like this with the best life possible. I have no idea when I’ll finish, but for now, I’m just gonna enjoy the journey!

The thing about natural lifting and cutting/bulking, it’s never perfect! You’re gonna lose some size/strength while cutting no matter what! And you’re gonna gain fat while bulking as well! There are ways to minimize those factors, like proper programming/nutrition, but for the most part it’s inevitable!

If you like the gym when it’s not busy, I recommend going some time in the morning, on a weekend, and later on at night! Seems to get busier around supper time as the 9-5 rush to workout hits!

I always get questions like “what keeps me motivated?” “Why do you workout all the time?” Well to be honest, there really isn’t any need for motivation whatsoever. I have it as a part of my routine!! I love it! Life wouldn’t be the same, and I certainly wouldn’t look like this either lol.

All in all, it’s all about habit and consistency! Motivation is the ember, but habit and consistency is the big flame! Once you have that flame, keep fueling it! It feels amazing!

Normally I don’t recommend an aggressive fat loss strategy! Super unsustainable, and for long term results, I recommend taking your time, and even hiring a coach who knows what they’re doing!!

Curious why I have a weighted belt!! My ab routine is getting too easy, hanging leg raises with weight on my knees makes it a little bit tougher!! As long as I’m staying in control and squeezing my core, this makes it sooo much harder!! -
