Antiquing in the city. There are many places and shops to go for antiques in Manila, some have really exquisite items. But this one is a small place in an unexpected rundown "mall". Just looking. (I used to live near the area.)
The opening of Årsutstillingen yesterday (29-9-2018) was everything!! Great location, sharp/on-point exhibition-design and collection of powerful artworks.
The coolest thing also was to be in company with a good number of my friends in the same show. @dystopianjungle 🌺
I had very short time therefore I couldn’t take better pictures neither of my work or some of the other amazing pieces there.
Today I’m in Basel, Switzerland for a screening of my collaboration film “The art of being a sinner” in Luststreifen Film Festival. Great atmosphere, friendliest organizers and we were nominated for the short film prize but we didn’t win 😊
More updates about this year’s exhibition coming soon. #årsutstillingen#årsutstillingen2018#artandcraft#ceramic#quran#body#bodycast#oxblood#sangdeboeuf#monumental#installation#proud#gayartist#ahmedumar#art#sculpture#instaart#instaartist

At 67 cms (over 2 ft) tall, this curved vase would be imposing in any space. It was created in the 1960s by a French ceramicist with an ample body and energetic trumpet neck. The rich colors err on the side of dark. Sang de boeuf, or flambé glaze, is the chief design choice and certainly packs a lot of impact. Much of the vase is opaque and a deep blood red or dark, mossy absinthe green. As the vase narrows into the neck, the colors begin to separate—red and green take on the brushed quality typical of sang de boeuf, with the very top of the piece Stark white ceramic. The result is a timeless, bold look.
