My bears started Summer school and Camp Invention this week so I'm cleaning and rearranging in between running them around.
I hung up my shelf yesterday and LOVE it. so much. We found it in the top of the garage and I think it used to be a window valance here. I almost got rid of them and so glad I didn't! (The window frame on the left and the coffee table top are also repurposed treasures from this house)
>> Help me: I can't decide if I should pickle over that yummy vintage green or leave it. I did wax it so not really sure what my options are now... (super important decision, I know... but still)
Our living room is my "studio" space where all the crochet magic happens.
Next up on the house project list is redoing (or replacing) those side tables and finishing my hula hoop wreath!!
I had the opportunity to mill up some Elm the other day, and I'm blown away by how beautiful this species is. I really chalked Elm up to be a species I'd never have the opportunity to work with because Dutch Elm Disease has wiped out most of the population in the United States. Because of the disease, you'll pretty much never find domestic Elm in retail, which really is a shame. Now for the painful wait until it's dry.
Preview of what is coming soon! Cannot wait to share a picture of the whole piece. Here are the colors I used ( all from #anniesloan ): a mix of Coco and Graphite for the base and Old White for the stenciled part. Love the textured look💚
