The perfect Salmon Fish steak is to have it grilled the skin till crisp, cooked all way through, seasoned lightly in the outside, with a nice creamy herby sauce poured over it. Some like their salmon steak with a wedge of fresh lemon so we include that if you like your fish with that little lemony zest. I use to like the poached version. ➰ We had quite a few leftover salmon fillets which I left in the fridge for ages, guilted the little sister into using them up. They were really nice👌 she made a garlic sauce as well which went great. when you make a small amount of something it always tastes better than trying to mass produce for a large party which is what I do quite a lot. Give this a try next time you have some fish lying around. Also when you’re so desperate for natural light around 9pm so you take the food out into the garden 😂 worth it though haha .
➰ 3 cooked salmon fillets crumbled up, instant mash, chopped coriander, black pepper, parsley, dill, spring onions.
Shape into patties cover in flour egg and breadcrumb, then deep-fry.
Sauce: mayo, yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, dill, salt pepper. (Ingredients are all the things I can remember but add and adjust things to your taste)
A delicious alternative to a beef patty, these salmon patties are guaranteed to become a firm favourite of the whole family. Delicious and super healthy especially when made with our fresh Akaroa salmon - what more could you ask for?! 🐟 💚⠀
