Superb Saturday: If the words Pizza Hut don’t instantly conjure memories of brain freeze following a heavy session on the self-serve ice cream machine after “The Works”, you genuinely can’t say that you were alive in the ‘90s! The only @pizzahutau dine-in store still serving “All You Can Eat Pizza” between Sydney and northern Victoria, the restaurant in St Andrews, near Campbelltown, has become a well-known landmark since it first opened for business over 20 years ago. The pan super supreme is Pizza Hut’s signature pizza. The first restaurant opened here in Belfield in April 1970. There are currently over 200 stores in Australia, but you wouldn’t know it. Like Sizzler and Black Stump, most tiled dine-in stores were phased out in the mid-1990s as restaurants became victims of a time-poor takeaway society. The less said about the Huts’ hilariously bad transformations into Korean BBQ restaurants and bottle shops, the better. Since home deliveries were introduced, dine-in restaurants gradually declined in Sydney but are still common in rural areas. Pizza Hut once had 50 dine-in restaurants in New South Wales but only five remain in the state with most diners replaced by shopfronts specialising in pick up and deliveries only. If you don’t have a salad bar at your hospital, advocate for one. Go ask you food peeps why you don’t? And if you work at a hospital that I did, ask them why they still have a Mc’Donalds there 🙄. Listen. I’m not the biggest “salad bar” fan. It honestly depends on the place. It is, however, better than processed & greasy foods! This week has been insane. I rushed back from Nashville and haven’t been to the grocery store all week. I’ve been teaching Essential Oil education classes nightly and working on some things for an event this weekend, and to be honest, hitting up @zoeskitchen every night has been kinda nice, but typically, I prepare. .

-EVOO & Vinegar .
I LOVE a powerhouse green salad. While obviously, this isn’t my idea salad bar, it’s a healthier option. With employee discount, this was $5.85. Depending on the price per pound, you can cut corners by opting out or switching up certain veggies and protein. I’ve learned to love salad. I never did before. As my body learned to be fed these ingredients, it’s learned to crave them more. I also can’t tolerate the fast and proceeded food like I used to! So load up on the color, y’all!
