Benefits of Burning White Sage and Rosemary Herb in Home
White sage, (salvia apiana) is an evergreen shrub that grows across the United States, and is most prevalent in high altitude desert ecosystems.
American Indian’s are well known to have used the healing properties of sage to drive out negative energy and evil spirits. They also use it in ceremonies for blessings and prosperity. For generations, white sage has been used for purifying, cleansing, and protection and many consider the plant to be sacred.
According to tradition, all plants and animals have a spirit. The spirit of white sage is devoted to clearing, protection, and blessings. Tapping into the power of white sage will amplify any healing or clearing that you do on yourself or others.
Sage is a traditional medicine plant of the Native American peoples, used for healing and ceremony. It is used for cleansing and purification, and to open people up to a greater connection with the sacred. It is thought to banish negative energy, not only on the physical level, but also emotionally, mentally and spiritually. It has a very aromatic, sharp and stimulating smell, and its action works on all the senses. However it is honoured in Native American tradition to be sacred herb used for sending prayer and working with the power of spirit.
White Sage is used to cleanse spaces, houses, rooms or environments of any kinds of subtle, old energies and prepare the space with fresh intent. It is also used to cleanse the aura of a person from stuck old energies to prepare for ceremony or spiritual work. It is also cleansing and healing when drunk internally as a tea. Wite Sage is also used for cleansing objects for use in ceremony or when calling or looking inward for higher guidance. It is very good for cleansing crystals.
Benefits of White Sage
Sage can be bundled together and tied at the bottom around the stalks, creating a smudge stick, this is then lit and used in cleansing ritual, feathers are often used to direct the smoke appropriately. It can also be placed on charcoals traditionally in a shell and then allowed to burn, releasing the purifying smoke.

Learning about herbs, getting to know them and having them in our lives is equal to growing our own food in modern societies.
For many, growing is the only way to guarantee 100% healthy food – food that has not traveled for many kilometers packed in plastic, food that contains enzymes and vitamins that did not die on the way to the supermarket.
Same for herbs: the best herbal tea you can drink is the one from herbs that you yourself, or people close to you, picked and dried – or grew.
Growing food is a political standpoint. It is activism. Why? A lot of the food today is produced by multinational companies that claim to “own” crops by inventing patents on them, creating a fake “illegal” act to grow the same crops, which suddenly transforms many farmers into “clients”, completely dependent on the company’s seeds and chemicals. Also, companies poison and modify food to sell more and bigger crops, with much less nourishment - and governments are participating in this big global poisoning. Therefore, growing our own food is to claim back nature, our health and our right to eat poison-free, nourishing, REAL food.
Same for herbs! Learning medicine and learning how to recognize it, pick it, prepare it and take it yourself, is to claim back nature, our health and our right to poison-free, nourishing, healing and not only palliative but REAL medicine. *
This is why any person practicing herbalism today is an *herb-activist*!
photo by my husband, I love how the shadow of a dandelion, with its delicate lines, fell in the middle of my chest as if illustrating the joy I was feeling in that moment, celebrating the arrival of this super-anti-cancer, blood cleansing herb.

Tak dejligste @fenjah_soraiah for at skabe denne smukke pakke!
🤲🌳🌻♥️🙏✨ #ritualer#indvielse#selvkærligfødsel#sacredherbs#urt#blidhed#earthmama#truenature

My very first monthly @sugarmuses box... all I can say is WOW!!! Its absolutely everything I expected and more! WARNING: spoilers ahead... The October Deluxe Muse Box focuses on Samhain (my favorite holiday). This box was amazing. The items aid with celebrating the sabbat, connecting with loved ones on the other side of the veil, and the bringing in the Witch's New Year.
A black velvet pendulum mat and quartz & copper pendulum. The pendulum is beautifully weighted and a joy to hold. I'm looking forward to consecrating it and getting to know each other. The candle and sacred salts are sublime - including ingredients such as calendula & lavender, hazelnut, ginger, and clove. Then there is the gorgeous copper braclet... bringing detixification and energy to my works - copper is "my" metal," so I was happy to see this. Herbs this month include a protection blend, a mugwort & black sage bundle, and a Rose of Jericho, also known as the resurrection flower. I'm super excited about this last one, Ive been intrigued by and wanted to experience the Rose of Jericho for years! Also included are ginger incense sticks and "Witch's Brew" ritual oil with clove & ginger. Last, but certainly not least... is this incredible raw argonite star cluster. I can't wait to use it in my Samhain works.
All in all, I am THRILLED with this box. The curator of SugarMuses (Kristi) has outdone herself! I cannot recommend this box higher! Check out her IG home page for a link to her website... subscription spaces are limited, so do yourself a favor and sign up for the November box before they're gone!! #sugarmuses#samhain#pendulums#witchsbrew#solitaryeclecticwitch#pagansubscriptionbox#sacredsalt#sacredherbs#paganlife#argonitestarcluster

Hello SPRING 🌷 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Don’t you just love this season I sure do however my favourite season is SUMMER. ☀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m about to spend the afternoon rolling more smudge sticks preparing for the Boho Luxe Market down at Fed Square which is about a month away. 🙌 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A month: that’ll how long each smudge takes to fully dry out after being re rolled a few times before they are dressed for their finishing touches. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What herbs and flowers are your favourite?
