Our first stop in Sicily was the capital of Palermo, where we spent a perfect day wandering the city, discovering beautiful architecture and eating all. of. the. food.
Palermo is actually known as one of the world's best street-food destinations and we can attest that the food on offer here is rather special.
The city has that unpolished almost run-down aesthetic that only adds to the beauty of the place, and as our first taste of Sicily it was love at first sight.
After a long hot day of walking the city we stopped for a few cold drinks at a bar where we met some lovely locals who invited us to join them at a free jazz concert that night. Soon after we found ourselves sitting in a beautiful old building, enjoying a mesmerizing performance of songs sung in multiple languages. All in all it was the perfect day.
Ok. Carpet's up!! I was prepared for the carpet pins to be a nightmare and they absolutely totally 100% were. It is so cramped in here, which is challenging, but I took the opportunity to get rid of some stuff. Project "Never Vacuum Again" soldiers on.
After we gutted #theairstreamearhart , we realized we disconnected the wires for the brake lights. A quick trip and a not so quick time trying to find a ground and we had these auxiliary lights on for the trip to Wisconsin. Hoping to have the original required soon!
