This town will never change
People come and go, it's all the same
I never learned anybody's name
We all vowed that we wouldn't stay
All we do for now is sit and wait
While everyone is off partying, we're watching stars over ice cream
We are almost ready to open up the cabins for a night or a few of tiny living. I'm excited and stressed at the same time. These past two months have been quite the rollercoaster ride, it's all worth it!
Come join us this fall in North Michigan at the Au Sable Cozy Cabins.
I have a new blog post of all the details and my current tiny house where I'll be living. Link is in the bio!
Srinagar, a city that has it's own rustic roots. People here are raw and the only faces with things to hide are mostly those trying to lure the tourist for bucks. Locals here are much friendly and when asked they guide you for everything and also asks you to beware about tricksters.
Dal lake is a town in it's own. With boat houses, floating markets it has an grip of nature as it is surrounded by the beautiful mountains and changing weather which keeps coloring it differently in utmost beauty.
The boat house looks much lame from outside but as you get into the inside, tadaaaa!!! you are into a new world with traditional design made wooden furnitures and carpets all through the boat which makes you fall for it right away.
The boat house was great and attracts high number of tourist but with great number of people comes huge pile of wastes which are just dumped into the lake because of which you can't actually imagine of getting into the lake.
Really sad that there are no bio methods to work on for this cause.
I wouldn't say this is a must visit but if you do, the boat house should be on your list.
We celebrate Baltic Unity day today. How are the Balts doing in 21st century? Some might have even forgotten. However, we had been the Balts long before we had our own state. "Baltas" means "white" in Lithuanian. Thus our ancient name serves as a perfect reminder of the true nature of human existence, which is the light itself!
Part 2. Better now about this new journey. I can say one thing and the most important thing was a lot of positive emotions and terribly funny moments. And every year more and more surprises. And every time you see such beautiful places, high and low bridges, which we admire. And these mighty tall trees that are piled in the middle of the river are simply amazing and through which we have to somehow make our way. And this river which is half dried and water only gets to the knee, or even less, in some places along the foot bone. And we walk along the river, slowly dragging the boat. And there were cases in which you had to bend over and ride under the branches of trees, carry the boat along the shore, as the trees blocked the whole river, crossed the river to get to the other shore, and made their way through narrow tunnels to get to the right track. And it's so impressive that there is not even a word to describe it. And it's also cool to visit a real marina with birch brooms, which we did this year. Pair in it, and then jump into the cool river. These are wonderful marching emotions, which will be remembered for ever. And funny conversations and cases, without which it is simply impossible not to smile. I am very happy about this water trip and look forward to next year. Just look at these photos, which reflect all our emotions and admiration. ♥️
