You can look at runs in 2 different ways (the positives and negatives):
1️⃣ I got in 13.15 MILES! My longest run in a while!
2️⃣ I felt so much better than last week.
3️⃣ It was overcast the entire outdoor portion.
4️⃣ My legs felt surprisingly fresh after a couple tougher runs lately.
5️⃣ Effort felt much easier today.
1️⃣ I got poured on the last 3.5 Miles (though in some ways I could look at this as a positive).
2️⃣ To fit my run in with our schedule and a toddler today I had to break it up and get 5 on the treadmill early and 8 outside about 1.5 hrs later.
3️⃣ My treadmill messed up this morning so I got less in earlier than I’d wanted.
4️⃣ My iPod was dead when I went to use it which means 13 total miles with no music 🤷🏻♀️.
5️⃣ My stomach wasn’t happy for half of my second run. .
We always have two choices - look at the POSITIVES! 🙌 13 miles in the bank for Saturday and a fun family day ahead! ❤️👪

I wanted 11 miles today. I knew I'd overshot when I already hit 8 miles on my loop before I had started back. 🤦♀️ You know when you come up with a route in your head that sounds amazing and then you're totally committed? Like it would be painful to vary from your plan? Does anyone else do that? I drove away from home to run this so heck yeah I was gonna finish but oh my gosh it was hard. Lol! 14.15 miles with a bunch of elevation. Tried out my new @ultimatedirectionusa vest which is a good thing because WATER. All the water. Mr. Smartypants Garmin spat out that I had a new record. Longest run since my injury last year. So what if it was by accident. I'll take what I can get. 😉😁
Had my sidekick, @nevaeh_goldendoodle .......with me today while our son was at martial arts & daughter at preseason volleyball game ...and hubby catching up on sleep ....so we got our run on....she hung in there and that best pace was when she went after a squirrel and its nuts🤣🐿 🌰🌰 🏃♀️🏃♀️👟👟Did some stair work and continuing to press forward to be strong ...perfect and complete lacking nothing when @gijen_aboutfacebootcamp and I run the #bostonbound marathon on 9/2 in honor of @nickimbailey #warriornicki & this butterfly was beautiful & reminded me of my friend @cantycolon!!🦋🦋 YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS AND ARE WORTH THE EFFORT & TIME & HARD & the FIGHT it's going to take!!

Pretty rough day, but can always rely on a nice long run to mellow me out. Lowered my pace to ~12:00 minute mile and was able to keep it up for almost 3.5 miles. Also really liking the West Side Highway’s running path. Definitely my new go-to path. Happy 🐪 day ✌🏼
