That’s right y’all... I’m Runner As F*ck! •
I very rarely head into Los Cabos... that place is crazy, weird and filled with all the people... but it’s a gloomy day here in Cabo so we went on an adventure!!! #caboLIFE#runningwiththeCOOLKIDS#runnerGIRL
W I L D is an understatement for this Sunday! This little girl May look innocent but she sure did know how to press those buttons today. This morning after the grocery store chaos i was ready to cry, by this evening Ryan and i could only look at each other and laugh! 🤣❄️🍷
When you’ve spent a lifetime hiding behind this persona of deep strength and grit, the people around you come to expect it.
That’s half the problem now. As I’ve begun to fracture under the weight of it all, those who rely on me have fractured, too.
I was holding them up and now we both can’t stand.
When you live in a time where independence is glorified, asking for help can feel like defeat.
But I want to believe asking for help, and accepting it, is strength, too. A different kind of strength... but one, nonetheless.
So today I asked.
I asked for introductions, for connections. And for medical help with these symptoms that are beyond me, now.
Today the nausea and dizziness had subsided, but the bleeding started and the fever kept edging in until I finally drove to urgent care for help.
I think they are tired of me here.
It’s been a bizarre year for me with excessive visits to doctors offices.
Even for someone born with auto-immune disease, this year feels excessive... The good news is at this moment, I have health insurance.
The bad news is... doctors don’t always make good listeners.
Round and round we go.
Needles, cups, questions, more needles, and no answers.
Round and round we go.
I clearly remember the first run I went on after having Jacob. I was going off of no sleep, but I NEEDED to get out and move. I remember getting to the top of the hill to leave my neighborhood and just opening up my arms and taking the biggest breath of relief! .
Before I found accountability groups and programs that I could access right at home, while wearing Jacob or playing with him between sets, I used to have to wait until Dan or my mom could come over to watch Jacob so I could get to the gym and go run. I hated the waiting, I love to start my day with movement and the walks with my puppies just weren’t cutting it.
Running and working out are my release. They clear my mind, give me a chance to challenge myself, are a part of my daily routine, and keep me sane and grounded in the busyness of mommin and life!
Surrounding myself with moms and women like me who need that time for themselves, how want to be strong for themselves and their babies and who lift each other up when life stresses try to bring us down is the greatest GIFT!
I want to pay it forward to those busy moms and women who need that release, encouragement, and the accountability to do so! I invite you to join me in my next accountability group! Want more info? Drop a 🎁 or send me a message and I’ll tell you how you can join me!
This post is just too good not to share. Having a body that can birth a human is a privilege, movement is a privilege, aging is a privilege, all denied to many. Don’t let thoughts of what your body should be or used to be keep you from living now. Get out of your own way and enjoy this ONE precious, hard, crazy, amazing life. #ancoeurwellness#crossfitmom#femaleathlete#bodyimage#selflove#realtalk#momathlete#runningmom

I want her to know that I CHOSE to be proud of my body at every stage. 💗 with loose skin, stretch marks, separated abs, and a little extra body fat than I’m used to - I still choose to love whatever It is I’ve got. Life is too short to let things like that get in our way of having fun and LIVING. It’s an always evolving, work-in-progress, but to focus on loving your body is always going to make you feel better than picking it apart would. So wear the swim suit, play in the water, be bold, and enjoy the ONE life you have! 💗 sending you all the self love today!
Where do you find it?
I’m learning that I find JOY in a church pew, snuggling my babies, turning OFF the ‘to do’ list in my brain, and opening my heart to God’s Word.
Today, our Pastor talked about JOY and reminded us to seek God’s JOY, the JOY of Jesus, especially during the craziness of the Christmas season.
I can’t help but think God sent me an extra dose of the kind of JOY I needed this afternoon. He sent the sunshine to lift my mood and the warmer temps to thaw the ice on the road. Thanks to God, I experienced both of my places of JOY today.
Don’t forget to pause, and let God show you JOY. #joy#christmas#pause#joyinjesus#runningmom#run#winter#church#sunshine
9 miles - my longest run to date. I vacillated between 10 min/mile pace and 9:31 min/mile. I’m shooting for a #halfmarathon race pace of 9:30 at present - clearly with some work to do. This #longrun was def LONG; my legs and feet def felt the distance. I would have loved to run this on the road, but rain prevented that. Therefore, I’m grateful that I had the option to run indoors today (thanks @jmcook1023) and for my in-laws who watched Alex for me so I could #getitdone Also sending up #positivevibes to @running.hopster - your mantra of #keepmovingforward was repeated often when the mind was trying to talk me out of continuing to the finish. I prevailed & even kicked it up a notch in the last 1/4 mile.💪🏻🙌🏼✌🏻❤️🏃🏼♀️ #cantstopwontstop#neverbackdown#unstopppable#runner#halfmarathontraining#sundayrunday
💫 Happy Sunday! 💫
Call it dedication, or call it stupidity, but when we have experienced nothing but cloudy, gloomy, cold damp weather for the last month and a half, I get out there and enjoy the "warm" beautiful 41 degree sunshine for my usual long run despite coming down with a chest cold this weekend. 🤷♀️ Didn't go as far as I would normally, and by the last few miles, my breathing was getting more and more difficult, but what a glorious day! I may be sorry tomorrow and hopefully I don't feel worse, but when it is December in Wisconsin, unless I'm on my "death bed", I'm gonna take advantage of beautiful warmer weather! ❤

50° and just the right amount of sun f oj r a nice 8 mile run.
Had a great leg day on Friday and it helped with today's run. Smashing it and feeling great physically and mentally!
My legs felt heavy after yesterday’s long run, but the weather made up for that. When it’s 60 degrees in December, you put on a tank and get outside! ☀️The warm sunshine was a welcomed change from the cold spell we’ve been having. It feels like Christmas time in Denver now. 😜Since 1882, Denver has had a white Christmas fewer than 20 times!
4 miles @ 9:52/mile
When you live in the region of the country that sees sunny days less than 30% of the time, you head out into the sunshine whenever you have a chance ☀️ despite the cold temps.
You never know what is going to come at you in life. You can choose to let that freeze you in place, or you can choose to live with purpose, knowing you've been given THIS MOMENT to do something with. Whether in clouds or sun, you yourself can choose to shine 😘
M A G I C A L - this picture may seem a bit off from my normal posts, but actually, since I’m all about healthy lifestyle etc, this does belong to the most magical nutrition there is in the world.. this is a microscopic picture of breast milk. You actually see all the antibodies floating around to do their magical job. Giving antibodies to your baby, toddler to prevent them from getting sick. And if they get sick, the time they are is less shorter and less severe. The other picture is a microscopic view of formula... I don’t need to explain right. Why am I posting this, well because my youngest got a severe cold, might have been the RS virus, but because I’m still breastfeeding, it was the only thing he wanted no other drink. If it was not for the breastfeeding he could easily got dehydrated and we might have end up at the hospital. So really, the greatest gift you can give your baby and child is giving him breast milk. Even for a couple of months, it really is the best start. And I could carry on of the plenty other advantages, but I don’t want to over do it. Just wanted to share and spread the word.

Still feeling crummy...this cough is no fun, especially first thing in the morning and before bed. Last night was my 5th night in the guest room. 🙄 3 easy miles on the treadmill this afternoon- still rockin’ my curls from our dressy evening on Friday and neighborhood Christmas party last night!! You have to have a tribe! People that help you be a better version of yourself!
You have to have people to talk to, share with, laugh with, cry with... Do your friend make you better? Or do they bring you down?
Do they tear you down? Or build you up?
This group of ladies (and we are missing some this morning) hold me accountable! They lift me up. They make me laugh! They listen to me complain and offer comfort! And they do a for this while we are running (and walking)! Great 7.5 miles this morning with these great ladies and a beautiful sunrise! It’s hard to even ALLOW yourself to have a bad day when you start it off well!!! Do you have a way to start your day off strong?
Do you have a support team to help you be the best version of yourself?
Do you have a workout that you like that gets you going and your blood pumping?
What things do YOU do to start off your day in a positive way?
