Hills, with 20x200m in the middle. Tried to keep this run at #marathonpace to and from the #track so I ran hills. Didn’t seem to slow me down much. The 200s were alternating 5K pace/marathon pace, continuous. The run was probably too fast but I was feeling great

What can I say,  so happy with today's running 😁😁😁 Last time I ran in retiro Park was 7 years ago or so. Really nice to run again there. 
I did all the session nose in/nose out.  I try to do all my training with this kind of breathing but this is more important when you run in a big city as there is lots concentration of pollution.

Pretty much my single favorite strength development exercise. Hip thrusts make such a huge difference for all movements - especially deadlifts and squatting.

Just 80kgs on the bar in the video but I worked up to 5 reps at 100kgs. Definitely worth adding into everyones routine if you are looking to get off your strength plateau and start hitting some bigger numbers.

I had SO much work to do after years of marathoning made my quads and hamstrings so strong my butt majorly took the backseat. These have been the most effective exercises for me to get my buns a burnin and functioning again! 
It’s very important to ACTIVATE your glutes with a warmup (1st video is an example of activation exercises) especially if you have a hard time feeling them during your workout. Close your eyes, connect to your butt (haha yep) and squeeze!! 2nd photo (Left=Before; Right=After): 3 frames (30 frames/second camera) after Pose, her Pulling of her feet is much quicker: it is much more reflexive and her foot is higher off the ground because she is now more aware of what to do-Pull!

1 thing to improve on over time is to be not have the Waist Bend ("Lean"), or Hip Flexion when in the Running Pose; she should be more aligned- head, shoulders, hips, ankles

Piggybacking off my post from the other day about how runners should strength train, here's @mad1790 crushing a 3 rep PR of 200 lbs today on the trap bar. This was her last set and she defintely had more in the tank. Her times have been better the last couple races and the aches and pains aren't hurting as much or at all anymore. More importantly than running, she's feeling good in general and that's all that matters. Don't be afraid to strain a little. But I may have said outloud to @andrew_morris90 “I’m so over running” yesterday. 🏃🏼‍♀️ But I was super hangry. I can’t be held accountable for what I say when working out hungry.

Some call it "cheating", I call it "going off plan". But in my experience a carbup can yield a helluva pump for a workout. This morning I shuttled in some gains from last night's ridiculous bout of indulgence of some of my fav dirty carbs: steak cut french fries, 3 donuts, and 2 ice cream cones. 4 lbs heavier today doesn't mean 4 lbs fatter. (Smiling cuz I got busted posing)

Back to basics for me today. Capped of a leg strength session today with some oldie but goodie PT exercises for pelvic floor and TVA activation. I know this will help support my running 🏃🏽‍♀️and growing belly 🤰🏻as well as prehab my abs before BGO2 👶🏻🎀arrives so why haven’t I been doing this all along? 🤷🏻‍♀️From here on out heel slides, glute bridges, and clamshells will be added to the daily rotation. #physicaltherapy #prehab #corestrength
