Rouse Team Conejos 2018 was over the top. Love these peeps! Here's a little photo journal from our adventure:
Photo 1: Wild hair and cheerios. No better way to start the day.
Photo 2: Jordan's wild brown. We ran around the river through the boulders to net this one.
Photo 3: Hike and fish. Probably one of the hottest days there, but still doesn't compare to the heat and humidity of Arkansas.
Photo 4: Start them young. Cameron is dodging Harper's backcast. @rouseflyfish and Little Miss are lighting them up past the bridge.
Photo 5: Intense. PC @rouseflyfish (He paused from cooking our dinner to snap this one.)
Photo 6: Snake charmer. We later saw a similar snake engulf a small trout on the bank.😳
Photo 7: Kinetic sand for the win.
Photo 8: Squirrel trapper. All ground squirrels were released soon after capture.
Photo 9: Hammock times are always good.
Photo 10: The Gang. The only photo of our entire group. ❤️
A couple of firsts. The first time our pack of four has fished at the same time. (Usually it is two kids fishing with parents helping). Of course Little Man hooked @rouseflyfish in the back seconds after after I took this pic so we dropped to three. The other first was Little Miss landing a big fat rainbow on a dry --on my watch and I am beyond proud!
Tubing the Yampa was a big hit. Only regret, we didn't have our rods. The trout knew it, and were taunting us.
Pic 4 is a Luna selfie mainly to document that I am on this trip. We are two weeks in and this is my first pic.
Kicking off our month long Colorado adventure with a stop in Fayetteville for a special super cool after hours tour of @fcsmokehouseoutlet led by Olive and Mo. We got a sneak peek of 2019 product. (I did not take any pics in that room!)Thanks to @elliottmo and @graciedwards for hosting us at their new home and taking us to the farmers market. I personally ate the two quarts of strawberries we bought. Delish.
"There we were, floating along totally by ourselves off the grid. It was beautiful. That moment for me was invigorating. I was really doing it..."

The Upper Red was beautiful. Catching my biggest smallie and white bass to date wasn't so bad either. The company was kind of nice. Super messy bbq sammies and scouting primo water in the rain made it the perfect day. Thank you @rouseflyfish . You'll always be my favorite.
Meet Jamie. Maybe you’ve seen him across our channels over the years. Best known in these parts for his ability to lure in fish from miles round, he knows every nook & cranny of Arkansas’ Little Red River & his guide service @rouseflyfish is our go-to contact any time we’re lookin to hit the water with fly rod in hand. .
Huge ups to Jamie Rouse and his team for being a nominee of Orvis’ 2018 Outfitter of the Year for his work as a fly fishing outfitters and guide. We couldn’t be more proud to have you on the#FCteam 🙌🏼
