#selfcare is so incredibly important. Not just when we are suffering with PMDD symptoms but also throughout the month. What we eat, drink, do and think throughout the month all play a part on how we feel when PMDD STRIKES. In my #selfcaretoolbox I have essential oils like: Lavender, Citrus oils (orange, lemon, bergamot),Ylang Ylang and Rosemary. I also have Red Raspberry Leaf Tea for my 👹 cramps and an essential oil diffuser in my living room and bedroom. These are the things I now turn to for help when my moods are flat or low and when cramps get unbearable. I even turn to essential oils when my anxiety levels start to rise. I’m adding things to this tool box regularly, as I have embarked on a more natural way of dealing with symptoms both for PMDD and my period. I’m still not off antidepressants. I hope to be one day. What’s in YOUR #selfcaretoolbox ?
I DO NOT HAVE A GREEN THUMB 🌿 .
But would you look at THIS! I grew Basil from baby seeds!!!! .
I got all cocky and decided I was going to give this herb growing a try and planted Rosemary, Thyme, & Parsley too! .
Anyone else growing herbs right now? What’s your favorite?! What are you cooking with it?!
I've always loved to cook in natural light. In the big, cave-like kitchen in the house I grew up, I always turned off the lights as soon as I began to prep (my mother had beautiful long stem roses and herbs hanging to dry overhead, and often they brushed me as I chopped and sliced and mixed). I love cooking in natural light because of the hidden things it reveals--the tender shape, freckles, and shadows of an egg, the vibrant heart of a sundried tomato, the translucent, almost too pure white of a fresh onion. These are all, always present, but there's something unmasked, more naked about them when they're not washed out by fluorescents. There's always plenty of drama in the kitchen, death, and new life, and secrets--as the seventeenth century still life artists knew so well. I feel connected to them, and it is almost as if I get to taste their very different world of light.
In celebration of natural light, and the hidden, original beauties it reveals. 💖🌱🌲 #naturallight#sundriedtomatoes#eggs#stilllife#greenlife#olives#meditationsfromthekitchen#translucent#onions#rosemary#cooking#kitchenthoughts#mymotherskitchen#microdramas

When it comes to a channel and community like the @yogscast , we never realise the people behind the cameras. This is to one of the guys who does a lot more than you think. 'Thumb to Nail' a harmonious interpretation of the Thumbnail King @veteranharry . A chorus of @naked_grouse showcasing it's sweet and delicate nature, bonded with the oils of charded rosemary while finally finishing off with the solo of the Caramel from @monin_uk .
I love you sun, but you are hurting my hair! Try applying @biolage #replenishoilmist through the ends of your hair and throw on a shower cap overnight. Rinse thoroughly in the morning for shiny, healthy locks!
New in stock! I have 7️⃣ of these rosemary and tea tree sugar available!
Let’s talk about skin benefits. Rosemary can protect your skin cells from damage caused by the sun, it’s antiseptic which means you will feel (and be) oh so clean....sugar scrub them arm pits ya’ll! We all know tea tree to be great for acne, but it’s also great for skin redness and inflammation c-ya later razor burn! On top of the rosemary and tea tree all my sugar scrubs are made from coconut + avocado oil and they have vitamin e too!
Let me know if you need one of these in your life ($8 each). My husband uses it everyday, the man is obsessed with the smell of tea tree!
My Rosemary is getting taller than her support! What do you guys use to support your seedlings? I had straws on hand so I have used a few of those but I prefer not to use plastic and I don’t like the look of them. Wooden kebob sticks maybe? 😅💕
