The Black Widow:
I discovered this cocktail From Half Baked Harvest, cool blog and stunning pictures, her pic of this cocktail is one of the best cocktail pics I have ever seen.
2 oz Mezical, .75 oz honey syrup, 2 dashes oranges bitters, juice from half a lemon, 8 blackberries, rosemary, club soda.
Muddle blackberries, rosemary, honey syrup, lemon juice. Add mezical and orange bitters and pour all into a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice and hard shake. Strain into glass of your choice that is filled with crushed ice and garnish with rosemary. Use a lighter to ignite the rosemary so it smolders.
When your holiday meals get to complicated, it’s time to simplify your cocktails. Featuring @traegergrills Simple Syrup is sure to add that perfect smoky note to your drink. This Holiday Mule is guaranteed to help out with the headaches and stress this season!
1.5 oz. Vodka
0.5 oz. Traeger Smoke Simple Syrup
0.25 oz. Smoked Cranberry Syrup
0.5 oz. Fresh Lime Juice •Shake•Strain•Top with Ginger Beer
Ode to Rosemary 🍃
What makes rosemary so good for you? This resilient, easy to grow herb contains high levels of polyphenols, flavonoids and terpenes - big words that mean - plant compounds that play a major role in support health and balance in the body. Rosemary helps fight inflammation, supports brain and memory - it has been said that rosemary can suppress the production dangerous amyloid plaque in the brain - a key contributor to the memory loss and cognitive decline that are characteristics of Alzheimer's. WOW. Not only does it do these amazing things, the list goes on... it helps even out blood sugar levels. An extract of rosemary appears to have insulin-like effect that can help better regulate how the body process glucose. However, it's certainly not a replacement for medication but regularly used and adding Rosemary into your diet may help reduce the amount you need or help prevent disease or discomfort from spreading. Rosemary, I receive the healing you give and honor what you have been through. Thank you 💚 #rosemary#herbology#plantmedicine#herbalism#benefits#earthmagic#homeapothecary#farmacy#nature#healingherbs
The key to cooking the perfect turkey is all in the preparation. Once it's in the oven your work is done. Here's what I do. 1. Remove all turkey parts from the cavity and neck area (bird must be completely thawed). 2. Rinse/clean turkey under cold water. 3. Pat dry with paper towels (inside and out). 4. Stuff cavity with one lemon (quartered), one head of garlic (cut in half with skin on), bundles of rosemary thyme and sage (tied with string), two medium onions (quartered), and salt & pepper. 5. Tie turkey legs together to hold the contents (binding the legs also helps cook the turkey evenly). 6. Place turkey in roasting pan and continue to surround the bird with more herbs and garlic. 7. Make an herbed butter using the same herbs as above. Use a small spatula and generously insert butter mixture under and on top of the skin - that's what gives the turkey the beautiful golden brown color and texture. 8. Bake turkey at 350° following the directions of minutes per pound. Uncovered for the last 30 - 45 minutes until golden brown. #turkey#cooking#thanksgiving#recipes#perfect#tasty#herbs#butter#rosemary#thyme#sage#lemon
