Rightly or wrongly, I've always imagined Krell to be the Hi-Fi equivalent of an American muscle car maker. Certainly its power amps have offered massive dynamic power. But with the K-300i, a new next-gen integrated stereo amplifier, I’m not sure the analogy holds good. It’s beefy (150 Watts per channel), but it’s also highly sophisticated if you opt for the digital edition: High-Res Audio support, Roon Compatible, MQA capable, and with HDMI inputs. This all bells and whistles version is priced at £5,698.
