In Railroad Ink, your goal is to connect as many exits on your board as possible. Each round, a set of dice are rolled in the middle of the table, determining which kind of road and railway routes are available to all players. You have to draw these routes on your board to create transport lines and connect your exits, trying to optimize the available symbols better than your opponents. Will you press your luck and try to stretch your transportation network to the next exit, or will you play it safe and start a new, simpler way to manage route?

The Castles of Burgundy: The Dice Game. Recently I’m finding more and more great roll&write games and this one is no exception. Gives a good feel of the parent game in a really interesting manner. First solo score was 38, hopefully I can score more next time @ravensburgerglobal #thecastlesofburgundythedicegame#boardgames#rollnwrite
Welcome to... the best new town in the United States of the 1950s! This amazing Roll'n Write game (without rolling as there are no dice) offers very interesting puzzles. It has simple rules and you can play it solo or you can play it with 2, 3, 4 or even up to 100 people. I really like it! You should give this a try!
Rundown: On your turn roll 1–3 dice. You select the amount and color of dice rolled and have one re-roll. Each player can place the total sum rolled into an empty space in a row matching one of the dice colors rolled. Two rules must be followed: Numbers must increase in a row from left to right and no number can be repeated in a column. If you, the active player cannot place a number you check a penalty box. The game ends when someone has filled two rows or marked four penalties. For each completed column, score points equal to the number in the pentagon. For each completed row, score points equal to the rightmost number. For incomplete rows score one point per number in that row and each penalty loses five points. Whoever has the highest sum wins!

Bubu in klein:
Harvest Dice is actually my first Dice Drafting/Roll and Write game. It takes up little table space, is quite easy to teach, yet still offers some good decisions. At the start you’ve got a lot space in your garden but you’ve got to plan ahead. This is because any future additions of a vegetable type, tomato, lettuce and carrots, must be placed next to any already existing groupings of that veggie. I found gameplay speeds up towards the end, so definitely doesn’t overstay it’s welcome. It’s a bit simple for me to really get into, but my family loved it and it was a surprising hit during the holidays. I like the pig powers, the market mechanism works well, and drawing the veggies adds a personal and thematic touch. If you are looking for something light, portable and fun, check out Harvest Dice. And if there are any other roll and write games anyone recommends, let me know 😊
I'm a tad bit obsessed with roll n writes lately. I love them as most are fairly quick and easy to teach, but also contain a lot of choices while playing. My absolute favourite is Roll Through the Ages: The Bronze Age. I'm not sure if The Iron Age will ever surpass it. Need to get in more plays of it to see.

Excited to play more of these titles and to also start into checking out PnP games of this genre. I've heard Utopia Engine is a good one... 🎲🎲
