Got my ass quite soundly handed to me in my first solo game of Streamrollers ❤❤❤❤🖤. The most complex roll'n'write I've played this far, but still quite accessible. You draft a die each round and use it to perform one of three actions. As you try to deliver as many goods as far, but also as quickly, as possible, some tough decisions have to be made. Not pretty, but very enjoyable - can't wait to get more plays of this! #rollnwrite @strongholdgames #brætspil#boardgames#traingame#bgg#boardgamegeek#sologamer#sologames
Harvest Dice, another roll&write. Plant vegetables or feed the pig in your turn. The scoring is what makes the game interesting where the die that was not draft will increase the value of that vegetable end game score by one @greyfoxgames #harvestdice#rollnwrite#boardgames
Feels like a Roll n Write, it must be, kinda!. Kokoro: Avenue of the Kodama by Eilif Svensson and Kristian Amundsen Østby, based on the original game Avenue where instead you were delivering grapes from farms to castles. This however, is set in the world of Kodama, land of tree spirits. Lead the lil Kodama to their safe houses and deliver grubs and flowers to the guardians. Instead of dice, players reveal cards, numbered 1-6 that show what type of path to draw on their board. Draw through the lil grubs and flowers to collect them. Yay! #kokora#avenue#rollnwrite#kodama#indieboardsandcards#boardgames#boardgamesofinstagram
In Railroad Ink, your goal is to connect as many exits on your board as possible. Each round, a set of dice are rolled in the middle of the table, determining which kind of road and railway routes are available to all players. You have to draw these routes on your board to create transport lines and connect your exits, trying to optimize the available symbols better than your opponents. Will you press your luck and try to stretch your transportation network to the next exit, or will you play it safe and start a new, simpler way to manage route?

Another roll&write game: Ganz Schön Klever. Really feels like a heavily abstracted dice eurogame. Very satisfying combo potential and great scoring system. Plays great solo. I can feel getting better the more I play it #ganzschönklever#dicegame#rollnwrite#boardgames
Lower quality pictures today as we tried out a PnP of Ganz Schon Clever. I ordered the game from Amazon.de after the nomination for Kennerspiel Des Jahres but we thought we'd give it a quick print and weekday trial run.
I was in the "A roll and write for Kennerspiel Des Jahres?!" camp but this one suprised me. Quick, with a lot of decision space to be had. We had a blast. Can't wait for the official copy to get here so we don't have to cannibalize Lord's of Vegas for dice.
Has anyone played this or the other two Kennerspiel Des Jahres nominees? Which is your pick for the year?
Note our lovely home made "silver tray."
The Castles of Burgundy: The Dice Game. Recently I’m finding more and more great roll&write games and this one is no exception. Gives a good feel of the parent game in a really interesting manner. First solo score was 38, hopefully I can score more next time @ravensburgerglobal #thecastlesofburgundythedicegame#boardgames#rollnwrite
Welcome to... the best new town in the United States of the 1950s! This amazing Roll'n Write game (without rolling as there are no dice) offers very interesting puzzles. It has simple rules and you can play it solo or you can play it with 2, 3, 4 or even up to 100 people. I really like it! You should give this a try!
Rundown: On your turn roll 1–3 dice. You select the amount and color of dice rolled and have one re-roll. Each player can place the total sum rolled into an empty space in a row matching one of the dice colors rolled. Two rules must be followed: Numbers must increase in a row from left to right and no number can be repeated in a column. If you, the active player cannot place a number you check a penalty box. The game ends when someone has filled two rows or marked four penalties. For each completed column, score points equal to the number in the pentagon. For each completed row, score points equal to the rightmost number. For incomplete rows score one point per number in that row and each penalty loses five points. Whoever has the highest sum wins!

Roll 'n Write, Pattern Building
I just finished prepping this Spring themed Roll’n Write set. Dice inserts, leveled writing prompts, and parts of speech pieces. All in one place. #sharingkindergarten#rollnwrite https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Rolln-Write-Spring-3208043
Bubu in klein:
Harvest Dice is actually my first Dice Drafting/Roll and Write game. It takes up little table space, is quite easy to teach, yet still offers some good decisions. At the start you’ve got a lot space in your garden but you’ve got to plan ahead. This is because any future additions of a vegetable type, tomato, lettuce and carrots, must be placed next to any already existing groupings of that veggie. I found gameplay speeds up towards the end, so definitely doesn’t overstay it’s welcome. It’s a bit simple for me to really get into, but my family loved it and it was a surprising hit during the holidays. I like the pig powers, the market mechanism works well, and drawing the veggies adds a personal and thematic touch. If you are looking for something light, portable and fun, check out Harvest Dice. And if there are any other roll and write games anyone recommends, let me know 😊
I'm a tad bit obsessed with roll n writes lately. I love them as most are fairly quick and easy to teach, but also contain a lot of choices while playing. My absolute favourite is Roll Through the Ages: The Bronze Age. I'm not sure if The Iron Age will ever surpass it. Need to get in more plays of it to see.

Excited to play more of these titles and to also start into checking out PnP games of this genre. I've heard Utopia Engine is a good one... 🎲🎲
