Red Rocks preview! Had mostly the best five days in a while! Celebrated sweet Hayley bug's life, spent some great time with the sweet @living2empower family - learning all about 3D printing 🤯! So amazing, got in two home cooked meals!, made it to one of my fav CO restaurants (Post Brewery) with D (who I won't even bother tagging cause he has social media avoidance), Rubes and I got to spend a few hours with the lovely Villano family @mommaon20s, and most of the rest of the fam, was able to make a trip almost all the way north to have coffee & tea with the wonderful @jenv4wellness and her very patient boys, and FINALLY made it out to Red Rocks!! And can I just say how crazy proud I am of myself?!? I drove myself 15hrs out to CO, generally with a pain level of 6-8/10, got in so much in these wonderful past few days (minus a knock down, drag out 9/10 migraine for only about 24hrs!)!! Additionally I climbed all of the stairs at Red Rocks - lots of breaks, but I DID IT! (I'm also pretty sure I've had a sweet angel watching over me this whole trip - so I can't take all of the credit!) #rockymountainhigh#cotravels#proud#migrainewin#adventure
I spent the last two months living at these guys' place: the absolute highlight of my summer in Colorado.
I had a very busy summer working for a new firm, travelling a lot and striving to make the most out of being in the Rockies. They invited me into their life, lent me their family, shared in my worries and may have popped open a couple of Kombucha bottles for my success over the summer.
John Denver was right after all when he said that in Colorado "you can talk to God and listen to a casual reply". #SummerInColorado#Denver#BeloHorizonteAmericana#Family#RockyMountainHigh
I was such a wanderlust as a kid, nothing was more exciting than going to new places!
I vowed that once I was “old enough” I’d travel and see and experience anywhere I could.
Over the last few years I’ve been fortunate to start checking more little adventures off my list.
Colorado was beautiful, I know driving through the Rocky Mountain National Park didn’t do justice so I guess we’ll have to make trip back to hike and see more! ⛰
We did manage to “hike” 1/2 a mile around Bear Lake. Go Us!
💦 Travel tip: keep a refillable water bottle with you! Water fountains are everywhere (I’m partial to @blenderbottle #iam1stphorm )
💧 Pro tip: if your going to be in the car a while, get a gallon of water to refill your bottles! It’s 100% OK to use a BCAA or low cal water flavoring to help get your daily water intake.
So I wanna where’s your favorite place you’ve traveled! Or where’s your next trip?
The scramble up Timberline Falls on the way to the Lake of Glass -> Sky Pond, Rocky Mountain National Park ...
I recently switched to wearing trail running shoes on long hikes from ankle length hiking boots because I try to trail run/ fast walk sections of the hike. My shoes were wet by the time I got to the top but they dried pretty quickly on this dry and relatively warm day.
Looks like this is the spot where I will finally tie the knot with my better half @earthbound_lexi in about one month exactly. A little nerbis and a lot excite. What do you think? #breckenridgecolorado#boreaspass#weddingtime 💍
