Today we head out to our second festival of the year, Tramlines. This time we don't have to head out too far as it's in our hometown, Sheffield.
This year sees Tramlines 10th year anniversary and it truly brings the city to life. Sheffield is known for pumping us with live music and entertainment however during Tramlines, every bar, cafe, restaurant, every bit of available outdoor space and even book shops hosts live music throughout the weekend. I, myself cannot wait!
It always amazes me how nature overcomes hardships. I mean almost every time I see a tree growing out of a mountain I question how that is even possible.⠀
I know personally when I come up against a challenge I am either really quick to accept and prevail or not even start because it seems to hard.⠀
My goal is to start tackling bigger, scarier challenges so that I can reach those big dreams I have 🙌🏻 to be more like the trees growing out of the rocky shore or mountain.
So you like to accept any type of challenge or do you pass on ones that seem to tough?
The path of building your body so it feels and moves well is rarely (if ever) going to be straight.
Even though the “equation” for making your cells change is a consistent one: signal + repetition + time = response...there are so many more variables to contend with in order to make change.
By hyper-focusing on the notion that there’s one path to be on and any ‘wrong step’ takes you off of it, you shift yourself more towards narrow focus attention - which can make finding solutions more difficult (you’re less creative of a problem solver in narrow focus), and can also make pain sensations more noticeable.
This is why The Explorer’s Mindset is a foundational tool I teach in the Mindfulness Training module of my @theunbreakablebody program.
You’re on the path. Even if you try something and it doesn’t give you the outcome you’d hoped for. It still gave you an outcome. And now you’re more informed because of it. #fitforreallife 📸: @joshnomadsen
Say it with me now. That’s us, pretty dang terrible when it comes to our lack of caring what others think... but that’s why we work and that’s one of the main things that we love about each other #nofucksgang I’m so stinking thankful that I had my Terra time over the weekend, but I definitely could have taken a couple more days of being mormon AF getting crafty, forgetting entire conversations mid sentence, waking up to Dunder’s brown twin Chloe, taking horrible selfies and watching the storms roll in with this one. So glad I found you, grape juice. You know if I say something I mean it.... like if I ever said I fucked your bitch 😂 #GEazy#keepingitsleazy
Finding our inner chi...chiis. Cheese. Because life would be boring without some good old cheddar and goofiness. 👌
It makes my soul happy to find others who enjoy having unrestricted fun, and who go where others don't. Had an incredible experience with these folks yesterday, more pictures to come!
Mt Bachelor, Mars, and of course the Galactic Center of the Milky Way! Had an absolute blast shooting astrophotography for the first time with @zachrizer Perfect conditions with a new moon phase, clear sky, and shooting at higher altitude ~7500ft. Totally worth it to stay up late that night at camp.
If you ever want to get out of the hot city in Dubrovnik, the botanical gardens set up in the hillside are beautiful, they offer stunning views over the Adriatic Sea and you'll also recognise many locations from Game of Thrones whilst walking around.
This used to be an aristocratic summer residence in the 15th century.
Observation Point Trail, an incredible 8 mile round trip hike at one of the highest spots in Zion Park overlooking Angels Landing, which is another popular hike, and looks out over the entire canyon in an amazing, inspirational and gorgeous sweeping view. Certainly appropriate for celebrating the Fourth of July. .
The hike itself is 8 miles round trip, then we took another short 2 mile round trip to the Narrows, and then some other miscellaneous walking from the hotel to the visitor center, .7 miles, and from the visitor center to the first shuttle stop to avoid the crowds, .4 miles; and some other stuff - an estimated 12-13 miles for this day. Thanks to my REI boots and Smart Wool socks, my feet weren’t tired the next day. Definitely recommend this for those that love the outdoors and hiking. Conclusion to 3 days at Zion.
Southern Paiute Language phrases we learned are 1) Mique waas tooheevin 2) Nu Nooni neeum 3) Toompi; 4) Po’onop and 5) Wi’i .
