On the road with John Creedon for his upcoming tv show Road Less Traveled. He picked me up in this beauty. A 1967 Ford Cortina originally owned by Jack Lynch when he served as Taoiseach from 1967-1973. My job was to direct him from bandit country into the North. #john Creedon. #the4ofus . #going north.#rte . #roadless travelled

"I got lost
Just hanging around
In a blur of the days and weeks and months
Took the calendar down
And watched everyone going somewhere
While I waited to be found." - Roadless, Frightened Rabbit
Still hurts so much to listen to these guys right now. 💔
“Roadless and wild” - but for how long? Limit Lake on Pilgrim Creek in the Solace Wildlands of Temagami, the Wildlands are an area of virgin wildland, old growth forest and ancient Nastawgan (routes and ways of the elders of the past) and is under threat of logging. Visit the Friends of Temagami’s Save Solace petition at - www.friendsoftemagami.org/save-solace/ (link in bio) for more in depth info and to sign and help preserve one of the last intact wilderness areas in the Temagami region of Ontario. Speaking of limits, do we really need to further log and fragment one of the last roadless and virgin old growth wild areas for some short term gains to the detriment of the wildlife and the regions ecology? Seems short sighted to me and brings to mind a quote: “If future generations are to remember us with gratitude rather than contempt, we must leave them more than the miracles of technology. We must leave them a glimpse of the world as it was in the beginning, not just after we got through with it." -- President Lyndon B. Johnson (Upon signing of the Wilderness Act, 1964)
Sign and lend your voice to leaving the future generations a glimpse of how it was for us - roadless and wild.
Buck and Freddie are driving from their old home in Blacksburg to their new stomping grounds of Trilville. Freddie's in the driver's seat while Buck sticks an arm out the open window and the cool air waves it up-and-down.
