After the cheesy photo up top I took a couple of minutes to watch the storm coming in. Everyone left the unsheltered peak of the Stelvio immediately after the first rain drops. The sheer magnitude of those mountains and the harshness of the climate made me feel tiny. Proud, but tiny. And once again it got all so obvious: the fragile human can only be one thing up here - a visitor. This is not the Himalayas but while descending for an hour in pouring rain, storm and 3 degrees Celsius I kinda understood why most mountaineers die on their way back to the base camp. And yes the home coming was just as exceptional as one might think: Ham and cheese in the car while the motor was running in order to keep us warm. What a day. What an utter beast. Loved every meter of it. #stelviodouble

I think it's about time to start planning a trip back to Italy, I got a full tour of the Bianchi factory on this trip. One more challenge I've put off is learning Italian, hopefully I can fix that. Now who can teach me Italian?
