What are your thoughts on this?
I honestly think that it is soooo true. What makes good horses is lots of wet saddle blankets. Doesn't matter how wet they get. It matters how many times they get wet.
Cornwall Blood Bikes have their Santa hats at the ready, and are in the Christmas spirit.
All our volunteers are looking forward to attending a variety of festive events around the county.

All our money goes back into our purely volunteer run charity and helps to keep our wheels turning on our fleet of motorcycles and us delivering our dedicated 365 days a year service to our hospitals and hospices across Cornwall.
So do go along and say hello to our volunteers, find out what we do, and how we operate.
They will be delighted to have a chat, and don't miss out on having your photo taken on one of our impressive BMW 1200 RT-P's

If I could teach everyone one life lesson it would be that nothing is given to you or that nothing worth happening or having comes easy. I have kind of experienced this with some people who think that I can just magically get Duke to bow or rear or jump over barrels with him! No he was not given to me with the ability to do that. Infact if I asked him to do that two years ago he would bolt. So I sat down at our barn teaching him to lunge, stop so that he would not bolt and just basic stuff we had a hard time with. And I cannot tell you how many days I cried working with that horse. But I didnt just give and wander off crying. I would sit there and lunge him let him drag me through the field and do it till one of us did atleast one thing right. But I absolutely did not have a smile on my face the whole time. I was balling! But it was so worth it because today everyday he never fails to make me smile. So if I can teach you anything it would be that nothing worth having in life comes easy but just because it's hard doesn't mean you should give up. And it's just fine to cry but your not just gonna give up and cry. Your gonna cry and keep going. So please work hard and chase your dreams no matter how crazy or hard it will be.
Happy first of December!🎉
The last day or two it has been snowing good. It's hard to take sides because it's hard to ride in snow and I hate the cold but yet my family raises sheep so a lot of snow means a lot of moisture wich means a lot of feed to keep those sheep fat and happy.🐑🐴
Didnt get to ride today because 1. Its freezing outside! 2. Me and my dad were looking at something😏
... But sometime this week I need to work on his lead and lead changes and I'm not too excited about it and I've never really messed with lead changes. Any tips?🤷♀️
*ignore the crappy screenshot pictures and me* ...
... Okay some people drive me absolutely insane. They have no clue what on earth they are doing or talking about. First thing is they dont know how to care for their own horse caring for a horse doesn't mean just feed and water them. You need to make shure they have a good diet for their body type, if their a hard keeper feed them grain and change their feed through out the seasons for example winter is colder so their body's need to generate more heat so feed them more hay and grain. As apposed to summer they probably wont need as much feed. But horses all year round constantly need water.
Next thing is it's not just feed you need to groom your horse and have attiquete shelter otherwise it could lead to rain rot and if their hooves arnt picked out you could get an abscess. And you really can tell a horse that has been groomed and well cared for apart from a non groomed horse.
Next thing wich Is one that bothers me the worst is tack and people who put it on wrong. I am seriously thinking about making a how to series on tack for this. I see people all the time have their saddle too far back or forward and have the saddle pad either too far forward and saddle too back or the saddle pad too far back and the saddle too far forward. And bridles I absolutely cannot stand the spoon mouth curb bit if it was lighter I may let it slide but I think that bit is way too heavy. I personally prefer snaffle bits. Next is leg gear I think this is a huge one because improperly used leg gear can lead to serious injury for the horse. It could damage tendons, etc. This is why if your a bigginer in leg gear I insist you use splint boots first they are much easier to handle. (Okay rant over. Sorry not sorry if I hurt your feelings, I was being very blunt)
Oof I'm beat! We finally after a long terrifying drive got out Christmas tree. It literally took all day. So I got home, feed and checked the ponies! Now I'm ready for a nice long bath and a nice long night to rest!😄
Hope everyone has an amazing day today! Me and my family are gonna go get a Christmas tree and hopefully I can get a stump for a pedistole for Duke. Later when I get home I think I'm gonna do a bit of liberty with Duke and make some obstacles for us and other horses in the future. I will also try and ride a family horse named Appy. He pretty much just has more whoa than go so we will see If I can get his feet to move.🐴😁
This week one of our fleet bikes “BMW 5” went into @millsignsltd for a new screen, and revamp on the livery to bring it up to date with the rest of our fleet.
CBB Fleet Manager John would like to say a very big heartfelt thank you on behalf of all the volunteers at Cornwall Blood Bikes to Matt and the team at Mill Signs, who have provided sign writing for our entire fleet of BMW 1200 RT-Ps making them identical with their logo’s and then the script work on those that proudly bear a name. ~
They all look very impressive, without businesses like Mill Signs providing their service and support we cannot do what we do.
